When updating your profile, if there is an error (such as a signature that's too long), the strings that are placed back into the fields aren't the original strings, but escaped strings.
Thus, if you put this as your Custom Title:
"I don't care about escaping strings."
and you try to submit it, but it fails for whatever reason, the text that is placed back into the Custom Title field will be:
"I don\'t care about escaping strings."
There should be an unescape function that can be used when placing the strings back into the fields after a failed attempt to update your profile.

Well, if they follow all the rules and restrictions when they update their profile it isn't a problem. But nope, it's a code problem.
What would be really fun is if someone with a special character in their username accidentally changed it like this, and then they could never log in again because they didn't know their username.
