Why did Chris Eacrett leave the band?

This is for you, this is for us...

LMAO, wow, he must like office work. I know I'd never quit a band to work in an office.

Ya apparently he didn't enjoy the touring aspect, which wasn't good considering the amount of shows they did in their first 3 years as a band.

He probably just wasn't enjoying himself, and if you're not enjoying yourself then why stay in a band?
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

I think it was just because, well... HE SHAT.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

"I think if Eacrett was still in the band, we'd all start to really get insular and try to do our own things personally and it would probably break everything up," says Taggart, with the diplomacy of a U.N. representative.
.
"He kind of shat..." begins Maida.
.
"Shat?" interprets Taggart.
.
"Shit! Shit!," Turner emphatically yells, employing his skills as an English Lit major.
.
"...Shit on the creative spirit of the band, on what we had on the first record," blurts out Taggart,
seemingly disinterested in the conjugation of the verb 'shit.'

Hey! I actually enjoy the bass on the Naveed cd alot! It rules! Chris didn't SUCK! Also does anyone find it ironic that later on it's Mike who gets kicked out because he basically "shat" on the bands spirit....

He didn't shit on the band's spirit. He just couldn't stand the smell any more after/during Gravity.

Who kows it could be a good thing, IME got 10000 times better, and i think Edwin's solo stuff is pretty solid

And yes IME can be used as an example for EVERYTHING

but the thing is, olp really wouldn't be the same without raine. the thing that brought me to like their music was his unique voice. I couldn't imagine anyone else in the world signing superman's dead or starseed... it would never get to that point, olp would just break up

Eee-cret?

Eek-ret?

Eek-rat?

EEK, a rat!

Anyhoo, OLP would not be OLP w/o Raine. Kind of like Creed isn't Creed anymore w/o Stappers.

Eeek-cret

If Raine left, there'd be no original members.
