I like all the albums. They all have a different sound. Each album seems to fit a certain mood I'm in. I could never pick just one 'era'. They have progressed magnificienty over the years. It almost brings a tear to my eye. ;) :)

i actually prefer the olden days. the SM was a bit poppish. and naveed and clumsy were just plian old rock.

Clumsy and Happiness are my 2 favorite Albums so id have to go with their middle years.

It's hard to decide X_X!!

To be honest though, I like their newer stuff better due to Raine's voice. The only reason why I dun like Clumsy as much as I probly should is because Raine's voice is hella scratchy on Clumsy.

Either way, I love all the albums.

i don't think SM was poppish... i cried when I heard it. It was that beautiful. I was never a huge fan of Happiness... so Spiritual Machines restored a bit of lost faith in OLP.

But I like the olden days better. Not because of the music, but it seemed there was a smaller, close-knit community of fans back in the day.

haha, yeah that's what I chose too cuz well, I love all of their albums equally, in different ways. Each of them has some particular meaning to me, whether it be that I can personally relate to the material or simply that the song writing is incredible and makes me actually think, philosophize, and just completely absorb the music and take in its asthetic value. I really can't choose a favorite album, its kinda like someone said before about it being like choosing between parents. I have been asked that question too many times due to the fact that my parents are divorced and they have joint custody of my sister and I. I would get asked, "who's house do you like living at more" or "which parent do you love more". I would always refuse to answer. So whomever it was that mentioned that, yeah I see your point. The only reason that I have mentioned "Happiness..." as my fav in the past is because that was the album that made me fall in love with OLP

So yeah, I like each album equally but I chose carnival because it seemed to be the most appropriate answer in my frame of mind at that time, ie, I was dead tired and giddy out of my ass. However, if I did it again, I would probably choose carnival a second time

I should probably stop now

i LOVE all of their albums. i didn't think SM was poppy at all. but still, the olden days of OLP were my favourite.

i can't really explain it..it's just...they felt like they were "MINE" back in the old days. i could call myself "olpphreak" and everyone would be like "olp? wtf is an olp?" but now, like, everyone, whether they like olp or not, knows what olp stands for.

the music is incredible in all eras...but i just have a fonder rememberance for the old days.

happiness is my favorite album without a doubt, so i guess i'd have to say new days. but it's always hard for me to choose a second favorite. it all depends on which cd i'm listening to at the time you ask me.

I seriously can't decide! I love them all for different reasons, and I can't even pick a favorite album. I have been greatly influenced by each of their albums, and that really deeply impacts me! :P

All of OLP's stuff is awsome of course, but if it weren't for the old days there wouldn't be any new days! so i gotta go for old!
