New Album news!!

I almost hope that they don't release any clips until the album is complete. The amount of bias it builds towards the final cut is frustrating, and there's always that one song that didn't make it we flip out about. I'm not sold on this producer, but if it yields an album the band really enjoys making, then I'm on board.

I was thinking the same thing! Hahaha damn a lot of coincidences... Strange producer, Hawaii... Guys we need to stay quiet and to have faith in the band! Can't wait to see what's happening!

I agree about the clips... on one hand I get really excited and loved some of the behind-the-scenes shots we had for Curve... on the other, it did lead to some disappointments. Regardless, I'm excited, I always feel lucky when my favorite band keeps making music while so many others have split up.

It'll be interesting to see what Elizondo brings to the table considering that he has a background in hip hop.

A hip hop producer isn't necessarily a bad thing (see Dr. Dre's fantastic production on NIN's The Fragile; "Even Deeper" is one of the album's stronger tracks). Elizondo has also worked with Fiona Apple, an artist who is far from anything mainstream.

Fiona is a great artist. That gives me some hope.

Ever heard her cover of pure imagination? Her voice actually reminds me a little bit of old school raine on that track.

It's a great track. The grandioseness feels natural.

It's not the first time in these weeks that Raine talks of new song at the summer shows..then i think that also if we are talking of OLP in the summer shows we will have a new song!

Two clips up. One has a sample of music. Sounds heavy synth (or maybe guitar effect). Very ambient. I like it (as much as one can based on 15 seconds). Maybe this is going to be what I hope, which is taking the more artistic aspects of Curve and expanding upon them.

In latest Instagram snippet, at the very end for like half a second you can hear something very snappy playing. Their whole Instagram approach really cool.

Yea agreed! I'm liking Raine's voice on that latest clip, but not quite sure if I like the electronic-sounding thing. Too early to tell though! Looks like they're just trying things out
