I liked the video - a heck of a lot better than The End Is Where We Begin's video, although I liked seeing the band actually play the song.
Maybe would've been quite nice to have them playing/singing as opposed to just standing there? The bit with Raine leading into the solo had him with his mouth open, which linked in a bit nicer imo, but that's very minor.
Reminded me a bit of the White Stripes' Blue Orchid video. Definitely made me think back to the Spiritual Machines videos.
Really liked it!
Except for the bit of text at the beginning. But that's 'cause I go to an art uni and the tutors have a go at us for poor typeface choices.... and it didn't add anything to the video. I would've guessed that the house belonged to an old boxer because of the memorabilia we kept seeing. Would've guessed it had youths with Christian values because of the boy, and the hands carrying the cross. I didn't need to be told that. Also, the thing I like about Heavyweight is that it has a punchy beginning, having the video go on for a little bit before the song start changed the mood for me.
Good stuff! I hope it's a sign of what's to come for the artwork
