Non-Album songs and covers?

Postby Tinman » 11/4/2011, 1:49 pm

I have been searching for every scrap of OLP I can find while waiting for the new album. I have come across (varying qualities) of the following songs, and wondered if anyone could point me to more music, and where I might find it.

My current list:
Tomorrow Never Knows
Kiss On The Mouth
Better Than Here
Out of Here
Whatever
Julia (Piano Version)
Fight The Good Fight
Dear Prudence
Not Afraid
Drive
Our Time Is Fading
Eternal Life
Teardrop/Carnival
Teardrop/Hope
The Needle and the Damage Done
Trapeze

I would love any other work anyone can point me to. I know there is a cover of fake plastic trees out there, but can't seem to track it down either.

Note: Also, this probably should have gone in the next forum over... sorry, if a mod wants to move it that would be great :wtf:

There's also a cover of With or Without You but again... I've never seen or heard it anywhere :(

You're missing (that I know of.... I'm sure there are more:

No Warning
Blind Anniversary
Imagine Cover
Monkey Gone to Heaven
The Wolf
Warnings (Demo)
Windowseat (From Niagara Falls July 2011
If This Is It: http://youtu.be/yXVxmG7d6Os
Ordinary Day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsU3-6SklcE
Blue Christmas Cover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thMNEqxxTnY

Vampires (Demo)

The ones in Bold I have in iTunes so they're on my computer somewhere and I can email you them if you PM me your address. I know Locobone has the Vampires demo but it's not a complete song and it's got Jer talking over it.

There's also Liar: the song Raine did with the Neverending White Lights. It's not an OLP thing but it's amazing and if you haven't heard it you're missing out.

It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Thanks Bree...i didn't knew the Neverending White Lights's stuff feat Raine...i heard the song and it's amazing!!

In the cover version there is Rocking in a Free Word but there i don't think that there are recording version oh and there is also Mona Lisa(Freedom Cover) that have got a recording version..

Besides there are some song covered live like Teardrop(Massive Attack), Zoo Station(U2), or recently Kids(MGMT) but these are mixed in OLP's songs..

There are tons of songs that have had interludes in various songs on live tours. Here's a comprehensive list of songs, both album/non-album/covered in concert: http://www.clumsymonkey.net/songs.php?band=1

Oh! My ears. That was such a clusterfuck of bad. Raine was the only one who sounded in tune.

Though, it was kind of cool just seeing everyone having a good time.

Yeah, I know and his mic didn't even work when he started singing and Jer looked like he didn't know what to do without his drums!

Drive is pretty damn good! I wish I could've heard Fake Plastic Trees and With or Without You though. I love those songs so I can only imagine what it would be like to hear them done by favorite band.

Some of my favorite covers I saw live were Eternal Life and Tomorrow Never Knows. I wonder how Mike-inspired those covers were though...but, they rocked live and Raine absolutely mastered the lyrics.
There's also a live version of Dear Prudence out there that is pretty good.

One cover I would like to see them cover is where is my mind by the Pixies and yes, Chantal should sing on it too! hahaha
