Gravity Song Survivor 3

Postby defying_gravity » 5/31/2002, 10:02 am

Seeing as it was a tie for second place I'm only going to get rid of one song. You know the drill - vote for your least favourite song. And no-one's going to be "bringing back the sun" if you know what I mean. Ha ha. That was funny. Y'know. Like a joke.

woohoo, I'm the second person to vote! I voted for SOT, same thing I did in the last Survivor, I love the song but I've heard it the most and since my least fave song was voted out in the first round, I'm running out of songs! I love the whole cd!

Who would want to vote off Do You Like It?
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

im shocked so many of you would vote somewhere out there off this early

i mean come on... that song is excellent and better than half of the others up there (however i dont think it is the best )

dont vote a song off the album for some shit reason like "ive heard it too much" or "its overplayed"

we are supposed to be voting for the BEST song on the album, and to say SOT isnt one of the top three is ridiculous.

(but then again, what i think is good or bad is completely olpinion)

p.s. olpinion should be a word used when discussing opinions on olp

Somewhere Out There is among the top three songs on the album without doubt. Just because it has been a single people seem to have got fed up with it. Remember when you first heard it. It's the Thief of Gravity!!

Oh wow, Somewhere Out There is good, but it is not the Thief of Gravity. Thief had some real meaning behind it and was superb lyrically. SOT seems like the band just wanted to get a song done, the rhyming seems predictable, and the music seems restrained. So it's a far stretch to say SOT is the Thief of Gravity.

I voted for SOT simply because it's not my fave from the album .. no need to get all upset and call our reasons 'shit' just because you like the song. It's not in my top 3 .. sorry to offend anyone cuz I don't agree with you on the songs you like but remember, this is supposed to be fun and it's not fair to start judging people and getting all upset cuz you song you like is being voted off ..

They are virtualy the same song. And why is Thief "superb lyrically" and SOT not. Personally I think all OLP's lyrics are pretty average.

I voted off Story About A Girl, now that I helped oust Bring Back The Sun. It doesn't seem like SWOT will make it through Round 4, which is too bad, but oh well... It's interesting how no one has voted against Sorry. I could definitely see it being the sole survivor.

"A Story About A Girl", "Bring Back The Sun" and "Sell My Soul" are my least favorite songs, so I win!

Y'know if I was a mod, I wouldn't need to keep asking people to lock these threads.

Anyway, lock it.
