Just think, I shook your hand on on the Clumsy/Spiritual Machines Tour probably 5 or 6 times.

I just bought some new tight jeans while listening to Wipe That Smile Off Your Face on my Zune today. The poor clerk had no idea why I was shouting "I'M GOING TO WIPE THAT SMILE RIGHT OFF YOUR SMUG FUCKIN' LITTLE FACE" Massey Hall style. It reminded me of this thread.

Hey Maine Raida don't forget to vote for your muse :)

“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Done and done. I'm not sure what women (or men, I guess) are looking for in men, but why does Chad Kroeger have so many votes? Crazy. Or even the Simple Plan guy?

That's exactly what we were thinking. These people voting must be some super young kiddos liking Simple Plan or Chad Kroeger (who upon hearing the sound of his name is enough to make me puke) is the only name they recognize!

Yeah. Well, those guys can have their sexy man contest or whatever. At least Raine writes profound music. I used to like Nickelback when The State was their only major album, but after that it seems like they took a steep nose dive. I have a friend from Germany and we were talking about Canadian artists. She knows and loves Nickelback, but has never even heard of Our Lady Peace. I'm making her a little compilation as I type this.

Awesome. She'll realize how shitty Nickelback is once she hears the OLP stuff.

I was thinking the same thing about the poll. I went on a little rant in the other thread... it basically says we all know who the better man is. He's way more talented, and he's also an amazing person. How many of these guys stood out in the cold Ontario weather to raise $22,000 by themself in one day to build a school!?

Raine will play a lemon on the upcoming Our Lady Peace album.

The solo material is sounding pretty good so far. I'm happy with my boy.

By the way, I totally have a crush on my "platonic" best friend. She's a sweet lass and I don't know what to do.

Well, that's all.

Sorry for my absence. I've been pretty busy with all of life's responsibilities lately. In particular, I've been doing a lot of assessments and report writing. However, I'm almost at a slow period! I hope everyone's doing well. I miss this thread, but I could never be Raine. I would look horrible busking in a flat cap in downtown Toronto.

I'm starting to think I want to be more like Bono instead. I don't know anymore.

I'm always a big fan of just being yourself, and taking the best qualities of those who inspire you and making them part of yourself.
