I'm curious what shows everyone will be going to?

Also, I think I have some loaner audio recording gear. If anyone wants to tape the shows they're going to I might be able to provide equipment to make an okay recording. Pretty sure I have 2 full rigs if everything's in working order. And if people are quick about getting everything back in the mail after they're done multiple people could borrow each rig for different shows. Let me know if interested! These will be special shows that you'll want to hear again -- and they won't tape themselves! :P Except for Toronto, London, and Victoria. I think those ones will tape themselves and I'd rather loan to people seeing shows in other cities.

Cool -- let me know if you could use microphones that are very small and can handle a loud environment, and an old minidisc recorder.

I used to film (with a decent camera) shows in Regina. But I realized I have far less fun that way!

Now I just attend. Memories of fun are better than stressing over a video!

I'm not recording anything. I was actually going to mention that the regular tickets my sister bought said that cameras weren't allowed at this show... will anyone really care if I bring one? Y'know, since I'm VIP and all, I'd like to catch a photo or two of me and the guys.

And I'm with Riley, it's so much fun when you're not busy trying to record anything or take pictures!

Most venues don't care if you bring your point and shoot camera to a show, they usually only have problems with DSLRs / professional cameras.

Filming video is a lot of work and focus. But taping audio leaves you freed up a bit -- honestly a few times I could have forgotten I was recording because it was as simple as strapping on my microphones and pressing record when the band starts to come out. Certainly not the best way to do it but it works.

I can only remember the songs I got at the 2006 show:

Kiss on the Mouth
In Repair
Will the Future Blame Us?
Starseed
Superman's Dead

I had a decent camera with stereo audio, so nothing was distorted. The only issue was people near me shouting, and the fact that I had to hide it sometimes as the ushers were taking away cameras...even when Raine shouted out "everyone film this song and put it on the internet!" (for KotM)

Alright, cool. I'll bring it anyways, haha. Why does security care so much anyways? If the band doesn't care about recording, what kind of beefs would security or the venue or whoever have?

Did you record it with a DVD camcorder, MiniDV, hard drive...?

Just on an SD card on my old Canon S3.

Here's a link to Youtube for Will The Future Blame Us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuNkigqv2Gk

And In Repair. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDNxklpF-0w#t=2m05s

I linked to when Steve's solo starts. It's my favourite one he's done for In Repair. And unlike most of the shows on that end of the tour, Raine really nails In Repair in Regina.

You know you want the recordings too :P

If OLP doesn't give it too us, we have to find our own means to get it.

I've got balcony seats for the Thunder Bay Clumsy show.

I'll need to dig a bit to see if I've got anything to record with.

On the plus side, the Auditorium has super good sound quality.

I am going to Toronto and Victoria..

Wanted to do Winnipeg but Victoria is going to cost me. If I can swing an extra day off might do the other BC show after Vancouver.

I am looking forward to it cause T. O is one of the first shows and Victoria is last. It is goingto be a major difference between the two ..
