Monday 12/7/09 - Vote for OLP until 3pm PT

Post by MattCTUSA »

Hey Guys,

Wanted to try something to coincide with the announcement of the Tour...Everyday at 5pm PT, CFOX in Vancouver does their daily Furious 5 at Five, which are the 5 most popular songs of the day. Let's get OLP in that Furious 5! You can vote up until 3pm PT this Monday 12/7. Click the link and vote for only one song, sometime between now and Monday. I believe you can only vote once every hour, but don't quote me on that.

Thanks for reading and I hope we can accomplish this mission!

Peace,
Matt

Yeah, it told me to come back in an hour when I tried to vote again.

It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

If you use a different browser, you can vote twice in the same hour. I used Firefox and IE and it let me sumbit both within minutes of each other. :heythere:

What ever happened with this? Did they make it? We forgot because of the excitement of the tour announcement. You know what else we forgot about? Raine and Chantal's vow renewal on ET Canada. Oops. Did any of our Canadian friends happen to see it?

I think its on all week, in small segments. I watched a bit last night, but its throughout the show so I was switching it back and forth (I'm hoping someone puts the whole thing together on YouTube or something.) They didn't show the renewal yet, just some interviews and a bit of the family vacation (scuba diving!)

That's the first time I've seen a pic of Sal since he was born. So cute!!

At Chantal's concert she plays home videos of the boys on a big screen behind her when she plays 5000 Days, that was the first time I saw Sal since he was born as well.

My mom was watching ET Canada, and said, "Isn't that Raine Maida?" I bolted out, and indeed it was. I just saw the thing today.

It's absolutely adorable. Today's clip was just of them prepping for the ceremony, Chantal getting on her wedding dress (it's a wonder she fits into it after ten years!), and of Raine and the boys. Honestly, it's so cute.

There was a cool quick interview, where they asked Raine, "What's your favourite CK song?" "5000 Days," and he explained. CK was asked what her favourite Raine Maida song was, and said, "Bring Back the Sun. I think it's one of the most beautiful songs ever written, ever ever."

Also, Raine was asked what Chantal's favourite color was. "Purple." and his son (not sure which!), pulled Raine over to whisper something, and Raine laughed, "Oh, I guess it's turquoise!"

Those are the cutest little boys EVER!

Remember when Gravity leaked, there was a promo shot of Raine without his wedding band on, and everybody thought that Bring Back the Sun was written because they were breaking up?

Ah the good old days.

Ooh ooh PS, I was really excited, because as ET Canada was finishing up, they said, "And let's end the show with some Our Lady Peace." And I turned, expecting some TEIWWB or AYD...

AUTOMATIC FLOWERS, FOR THE WIN! :D
