Raine Maida - iTunes Canada pre-order bonus tracks.

This is for you, this is for us...

These are the songs we're talking about right?

21st Century Blues - http://www.yousendit.com/download/TTdHR ... amZIRGc9PQ
Victim of a Small Town - http://www.yousendit.com/download/TTdHR ... WURIRGc9PQ

And maybe they're hidden tracks on the CD? Because they are both listed as being from the album, and they have track numbers attached to them from when I imported the CD after I bought it...

They're definitely not on the CD that I bought, but were supposed to be available as bonus tracks to those of us who preordered the album on iTunes Canada. However, iTunes messed up and the majority of us received errors saying that the album was no longer available when we tried to download it, and Apple would not resolve the problem.

I'm curious what format they were available in -- iTunes usually uses m4p audio files but I think the two versions I've downloaded were both mp3.

I bought a hard copy CD from Nettwerk, so I'm not sure how they got track listings. Unless when they were uploaded previously you edited them in.

I think they were tagged as track 11 and 12 when they were uploaded previously because that is how iTunes numbered them.

I'm just hearing these now for the first time. 21st Century Blues just finished and I'm a big fan of that one. I hope I like the other as much.

21st Century Blues is great live. I really like the studio version as well.

Thanks for the quick re-up! Both these tracks are awesome... I wonder why they didn't just make it a twelve track album in the first place. Could it be one of those "album flow" issues? I guess that I should just be glad that we can hear them... :)

Who knows why they did not make it.? I do not remember if I read it or was told it. Raine loves Victim of a small town. One of his favorites and he wanted it on the cd..

I think they are actually my two favourite tracks! I wish they were on the album... maybe a couple of the EP tracks could have been bumped. Then again, I think I recall Raine mentioning to me last year that he didn't feel they "fit".

Probably the easiest way I could think of would be to use a site like mediaconverter.org and rip the audio from the "Victim of a Small Town" video that's on YouTube. I don't have a solution for 21st Century Blues though.

You have impeccable timing. I just deleted them off my site. I'll re-upload them this evening and send you the link.
