ridiculous. not only has steve not written a note yet, but since his arrival, the music has become less complicated, not moreso.

i think, and will continue to think that they have such different styles that they are incomparable. we all know that mike is an amazing musician with great ideas and he is excellent at what he does. steve is also mindblowing. i've seen him onstage and i absoloutely love watching him play and do random trippy intros and instrumental bridges :lol:

he is very good at what he does. its just that olp wanted a different style of guitarist and steve fit the bill. i don't think either one is better than the other...they both rock my socks :love:

^^ Exactly, they're both good in their own style .. Steve's just happens to fit with what OLP wants right now. Also who know's how much Mike actually 'wrote' since ALL their names are included as the writers. Steve is obviously talented and the music becoming less complex has nothing to do with Steve at all .. Steve joining the band did not cuz them to go simpler so stop blaming it on him. The music and lyrics were already written by the time he joined ... and since Steve hasn't written anything yet then lay off the poor guy and give him a chance! You have nothing to judge him on other than your bitterness over Mike leaving .. Mike is gone, move on and get over it, he's not coming back.

Hey primetimefool, have you seen OLP yet this year? If not why don't you listen to a bootleg. Since OLP added Steve their shows are a whole hell of a lot better than with Mike. Steve does more than just play the actual song. He adds to everything he plays, he brings energy to the band, and overall, he makes the band better. But I guess no matter what anyone says or does, the immobile Mike Turner, who became a rhythm guitarist at the end (if you look Jamie was doing all the work) is just so much better.
