Brian,
1) Why would Nikki be the only one who could tell OLP's sig?
2) Why would Warchild forged their sigs..
If you really want that guitar it will probably cost alot.. I say they probably get a up to $500 for it. Possible more once word gets out. People tend to give alot when for Charity.. Cool it has their sigs, but I would think people would want the guitar more or help out more.. Other then that you are crazy to pay that much for anyone's sigs. Dead or alive..
If and when I am ready to sell off all my OLP singles, and everything else I acquired over the years. I am going to send the proceeds to Warchild.
That is the neatest I have seen Jer's sig.. Steve and Duncan look the same and Raine has changed a little over the years..

It's a joke between me and Nikki from the OLP.net days
I won an autographed CD and Nikki thought the signatures were a bit off and went into specific details over it.
I obviously wouldn't be buying it just for their signatures.
I'm tempted to splurge since this would look great in my living room and the profits are going to a great cause.

If it weren't a generic guitar, it would be worth it. No sense in paying 500 bucks for a junker, even with the guys signature on it. Sure it's for charity, but you'd never be able to get your investment back out of it if needed.

I wish it was the Spiritual Machines guitar
I'd totally pay tons and tons of money for that.

I have the means to drop $500, just a matter if I really want to.
If this Friday was a payday for me it'd be even more tempting.
I would not bid that much..
1) as much as I love OLP their sigs are not worth that much( hundreds of dollars to me)
2) There are other guitars I like
3) just donate money straight to War Child..
They will probably get some good money for it.
Now if was Steve's black Yamaha guitar( that he never plays anymore-

I think U2's Edge had a recent auction for his Music Rising Charity. The person got a guitar signed by Edge( one that he played) and you got to meet Edge also..

Damn you peer pressure!!
all kidding aside Brian. We are just trying to make sure you pay that much for something you will really like. SOmething that will have some value to you. We do not want you paying for something( whether charity or not) you might regret.
If you really want it and can afford it. I mean really afford the high bid( whatever it may be) and it does not leave you broke then by all means I wish you luck..
HOnestly though I would get a guitar I like, have OLP sign it the next time I saw them( they seem to be cool with signing things-but then again not sure if they have problems with sellers) and donate seperatly to War Child..

DUNCAN.. He writes OLP like that. I have a sig like that from him..
That is how Raine's sig looks now. When I first saw it I thought it was fake( not here, but in general) until I had him sign something for a friend..
At least it is more then the RM you got in the Live DVD..
like I said that is by far the neatest I ever saw Jer's sig..
here is what Raine's use to look like. Ok this is 10 years ago..

Ok. Here you go. This is from Aug 2005 when I saw them at Bowery. Raine's is pretty messy there.. The 5th one is Joel's and the guitar string is Steve's. He broke his string during WTFBU

Brian, don't bother wasting your cabbage on a piece of shit guitar(trust me, its absolute garbage) like that, even if its autographed.
Maybe if the guitar was worthwhile( ie - Les Paul, Fender Strat/Tele, Takamine acoustic etc) then it would be worth something. Just donate the money to warchild directly.
