Tonight (8/18) Boston Show.

Post by liam »

HOLY SHIT! This is gonna seem more like rambling. but i bought Clumsy when i was 8 on cassette tape! Tonight i, finally after 12 years of being an avid fan, saw them live. I go to a lot of shows and this was by far the best show i've ever been to EVER. I'm probably coming off like a teenage girl with her Justin and Britney crush, but whatever. I would choose seeing this show again over sex any day of the week.

and Jeremy, or other band members ever read the dribble we put on this, Holy Shit is all i've been thinking since about 7pm, and Thank You so much.

For my third post in a row to ask: Anything unexpected played? I was thinking there might be since there was a double encore.

i definitely didn't expect THeif during In Repair. Also i really didn't expect Bring Back the Sun.

and the double encore, i have never seen any band come out for a double encore upon fan request alone.

Double encore? Awesome

I have seen this before with Muse. You could tell it was unplanned because the house lights / PA came on for a minute first. I guess you could say it's the only real encore I've ever seen!

Barenaked Ladies did a triple encore when I saw them in Regina. It was perfectly wonderful.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want even an encore with Barenaked Ladies.

So the moral of the story is that if we want a second encore, we just have to cheer for long enough and yell out encore?

Nice.

we chanted OLP, OLP. and the tech guy off the side of the stage looked really confused.

I'm pretty sure that it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. They are absolutely excellent live...and make their show terribly entertaining. I will always be impressed with their ability to improvise a song on the spot. Sadly...no more Barenaked Ladies :(. I almost didn't end up going, and I would have been regretting that for many many years.
