The bassist gets no lovin'

Listening to Duncan's bass lines has really changed the way I listen to OLP.. seriously! I used to only really listen to vocals and guitar, but now I hear Dunc's basslines and they blow me away, especially in songs like IAH. Anyone payed close attention to Duncan in the vid? He's off the freaking wall. I'm trying to learn that and OMA, and they're insane.

Chris' stuff doesn't seems that complicated compared to Duncan's riffs.

Murph's stuff can be quite difficult. Songs like She Says What She Means he just goes off and does his own thing and he rarely does the same thing twice. It's hard to get it down pat if you want to learn the song the way it's heard. (Personally, I'm just fine with the chords (and then I can fill in my own little punk thing later on - I love playing punk!), but Gary, my teacher, basically insists he teach it to me the right way.)

Anyway, back to this: Duncan rulz!

Hey guys I told Duncan about the COUTTS CARTEL tonight. He laughed and said it sounds dangerous. he found it amusing and once again we told Steve about the Mazurites. He is going to look on the CM becaus ewe keep telling him about this. Also we told them(steve and duncan about the Pookie brigade and the Maida mafia. they found it amusing.

i odubthe'll ever find this thread, it took me a long time! the only reason i found it because it was duncan-related....and i figure duncan doesn't really give duncan that much importance!!!! but just in case(i learned that "in case" is actually two words while writing a paper on microsoft word! isnt that amazing?)anyway, just in case.....
