The whole experience Sunday in London was pretty sweet. But the 08.26.01 show in Buffalo meant a lot to me. It happened at just the right time in my life. I had a big giant personal issue break out the night before, I really had to force myself to even get out of bed to go to that show. That show had a cathartic value. And boy, when they played Julia, it really hit home. Julia in Buffalo is definitely my all time favourite OLP moment.

I fly planes with no engines whenever I can get my hands on one, in fact i went yesterday and managed to whack myself good in the face with the seatbelt, and yet they let me fly these things all by myself, who would have thought? I attend air cadets where I get to yell at small children, but unfortunately we're not allowed to hit them anymore the little fuckers.... deep breath... uhhh my friend just bought a car and maybe she'll drive me to Ottawa for a huge part there after christmas cause she's nice like that. I've got some sort of social problem that somehow prevents me from actually making something of the friendship i'm building with someone of the opposite sex, much as I want to. I like to think of myself as a good pagan but I know I'm just a fool. I talk too much. I spontaneously correct spelling errors. I watch far too much of the Kids In The Hall for it to be healthy. When I met Raine behind the backstage at Bayfest. Not only was it the first time I've ever met a musical hero of any kind, but he was the only performer I got to meet after any of the Bayfest shows and it really made my weekend.

One - July 11, 2002, Sarnia Bayfest - nothing kicks more ass than being able to see one of your favourite bands for the first time in your hometown.

Although every one of my OLP moments has been incredibly special, meeting the band for the first time in Thunder Bay in January 1998 has to be one of the most memorable. I had been crazy about the band for a good 3 years before I met them so I had a lot of pent-up excitement. I spent three months sick with excitement in anticipation of the concert and soundcheck. I thought I was going to die! Hearing the band soundcheck Carnival is still one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced. A close second is the Birdman solo at the London show on Sunday. I don't think I'll ever get over how intense that was!

Favorite OLP moment?
When I finally got to see'em perform live this past August in Saskatoon!! It was a pretty sweet show....The highlight for me was when they played 'The Birdman"...I can't wait till they come back.

Without a doubt, it would be seeing OLP live at the Phoenix in Toronto back
in 2000 just before Spiritual Machines was released... it took almost 3 hours to travel 100km through that bad-ass blizzard, but it was well worth it!

sadly, only 2 concerts (@ the ACC & Phoenix, both in Toronto)... I listened to OLP religiously for 6 years until I finally got to see them live at the ACC during the World's A Blister Tour... 6 years! what the hell was I waiting for!?!?
