Chalk most of it up to being young and stupid. Seriously, just about everyone has a point when they are a student and they go binge drinking and do incredibly stupid things that they regret later. Thats just part of growing up.
So yeah, drink less. Kiss less. And don't let the drama in.

I'm not telling you to be a straightedge, but if you do foolish things like drinking more than you can handle, expect to do foolish things. Thats life.
Sorry. *hugs*

this actually resonates a fair bit to reza's "my shitty week" thread. and i believe lori's statement also applies in this case: "alcohol makes you do stupid things. live with it, or don't drink".

I'm gonna have to agree with that. If you avoid the alcohol, you can usually avoid those stupid/scary situations.

I will never ever understand why people drink.

That's not very helpful, but I just had to say it because I really don't.

Life's plenty fun without alcohol. Trust me.

Just try to forget it happened and go on with your life. :( Unfortunately it's too late to go back and stop it from ever happening, so there's not much you really can do. *hugs*

Ya pretty much i've done all of what you've done drunk also.

I would advise you 1: To stay away from Kohl. Guys who do things to drunk girls aren't keepers, even if they are suave or very pretty etc, trust me on this one.

As for making out with your best friend, forget it happened. She probably is wondering if YOU like her. I'd wager that you were both really drunk and saw each other as convenience. Unless it becomes something more which I doubt it will, don't bother bringing it up, just forget it, unless you can make it into a joke.

I'd have to agree with basically everyones sentiments in that, Drinking makes you stupid. Believe me, I drink ALL the time, it is my number one pasttime, but I have done alot of dumb things under the influence. But I still do it, therefore I ask for what I get. I'd say, don't drink unless you're in a comfortable situation with some of your good friends, that's how I do it now and it attracts much less trouble.

I just had one of those moments where all the lies you tell yourself to keep youself going and to have hope, just fall apart.
Looking at yourself and saying, no, that shirt doesn't look good on you.
and no, that guy you like doesn't like you back.
and no, that class you think is easy obviously isn't since you almost failed it.
and no, you don't belong in university because this isn't working for you.
and no, the people you work with don't respect you.
and no, these fake dreams and hopes arn't going to get you anywhere.

I smile and laugh all day to keep happy but then something always brings you back down. All the nice things you do for other people arn't going to catch up, because other people can't save you. I'm sick of all the things that make me so cynical.

Sorry babe, I know how you feel. In the long run, all those little things you tell yourself keep you alive. That is what makes you strong. Hope might be false, but hope saves us. I always come down, but gradually that hope builds up again. And you have to let it, or you will die in every way.

I dunno about that. We all have moments like that, those times when our world crashes down around us and we are filled with despair. It doesn't mean all those things are false, it just means that we have reached our breaking point, so you gotta rally yourself back together build yourself back up and get back out there and keep going. You're strong, we all are, each time the world falls apart, it is rebuilt stronger than ever.

Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay

Remember I mentioned months ago about my jaw problems, the surgery I need to have, the teeth I need to get out, and the fact that I need to get braces on?

Read the original post here about my surgery and braces

One week from right now I'll have braces on :crying::crying: My jaw is so sore that they may have to knock me out to put the braces on, and I'll probably wake up with such jaw pain that I may not be able to eat for a few days.

My ortho is using braces that not only move your teeth along your jawline, but pull outward to stretch the size of the jaw as well. He said this will hurt more on a day-to-day basis than regular braces, but could minimize how much my jaw needs to be stretched in surgery.

So once I get them on next week, we'll be scheduling the removal of teeth. I have to sign additional waivers because my wisdom teeth extraction carry a higher risk than the average person. :crying::crying:

This, on top of everything else I've been dealing with this week.

Awwww Kathy *hugs*

but just think - the sooner this all starts, the sooner it will be over.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Aww braces seem so bad before you get them.
And I know that the last thing you want to hear is people tell stories about their dentistry experiences from when they were 12, but it's never as bad as you think it will be.
I had my braces on a lot later than most people and had to get them to expand out as well. I found on days when I got them changed they hurt from the extra pressure and it felt like a lot of weight was added to your teeth.
Honestly, its managable pain. And the end result will make it worth it.

It's always crappy to have that downhill feeling but everything always goes up and down so try not to worry too much about everything. :)

yeah, when they're putting on the braces you don't feel any pain. it will start to hurt a day or two afterwards, but it's managable. i know your jaw will be sore from the surgery, but i think you'll be okay. :) i'll bring you my favourite yogurt..!

By the way, I also did a term at a dentists office so I know a lot about the procedures and whats will be happening and all that, and a lot of it really isn't that bad. People have a fear of the dentist and freak out over their fears. Honestly when you talk about cutting into your gums and that sort of thing it sounds so much worse than it actually is.

I really want to talk about some of the extractions and stuff like that, but I think it will probably worry you more than anything.
It's going to suck, but not terribly. I hope you don't worry yourself out about this. :)

Kathy - stock up on mashed potatoes and ice-cream and marshmallows and things. Make sure you've got some tylenol on hand too. I got bottom braces on about two months ago, and while you usually can't eat solid food for about a week, they only really hurt for the first day and a half - or if you try to bite into really hard things. I find milkshakes are the best thing to have, because a lot of the time what makes the wires move is the heat in your mouth.
For the first few days you might hate them, but after you get used to it you'll completely forget they're there.
