Suggestions for things to do in Toronto/Ottawa/Monteal

Postby Soozy » 1/14/2003, 3:07 pm

As some of you might know I'm flying out to Canada 2 weeks tomorrow (I'm so excited :D ) for a holiday that includes 2 OLP concerts. I'll be spending a few days in each of Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal and I'm looking for suggestions from all you Canadians for things I should do and see while I'm there.

And also - if you know of any shops in those cities which sell OLP merchandise can you let me know the details please?

Thanks very much,

Susie

Toronto .. check out 102.1 the Edge, the radio station on Younge Street .. cool pictures on the walls of bands that have done interviews there and you might catch a band there if you're lucky. MM but that's a bit boring since all you can really do is look lame peering thru the windows  Check out the Eaton Centre for shopping and definitely stroll up and down Younge Street .. lots of neat stores.

Ottawa .. check out the Rideau Canal .. I think I spelled that wrong .. anyway you can can skating on it .. good ski resorts up that way in Montreal and Quebec too! :D

Toronto is good for clubs and theatres. There's a lot of good places to get some shopping done. Try poking around Toronto.com

I've been to Montreal twice and let me tell you that is the most awesome city!!! It was so much fun. The first time we went, the street our hotel was on was closed off cuz there was this big skateboarding thing going on and there was live music there like every night... Oh man it was so much fun. :D

Eaton Centre was probably the big mall you went too .. I like Yorkdale too .. and the Rainforest Cafe is awesome, expensive but really cool.

If you go to Scarborough you can eat at one of Celine Dion's restaurants too and see where The Kids in the Hall is taped, the school they taped parts of it at anyway
