because i need to concentrate on one thing right, and i'd just like to know what all of you think i should do, considering i've never really written a book or a short story... i was wondering what you all think i should do.

x_X
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I put short stories. But do songs as well. I really liked your songs.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

not a good idea, liam. stick with short stories or songs or poems or something of the like. book would take too long for you and you would get bored. i know this.

A book is a major challange. I would suggest practicing with some shorter pieces first. But if you want to try then go for it. Also, don't lock the poet in you away, whatever you decide to do. They can be compatable.

I've already started, I'm using a notebook. And i'm not locking the poet in me away because this book is about a kid (whos 13, loosly based on myself) and in the book he writes poetry by himself in his spare time and alot of the poems are in the story. They aren't full songs they're like 4 to 16 lines long. I got the idea for most of this from Lynnever i think it was that did the "Journal" type story. Well thats how this is. And if i am to follow through with all this, It's going to be a full month. The Month of december. I'm already on December 8th. I skipped the 7th i said he was too caught up in writing poetry. But so far i really like it. It may be about someone slightly like me and it may have some truth in it about my life, but for the most part its fiction like where it says that my dad's an alchoholic, but he's not.

Thanks for everyones opinions so far.

Yeah, that's a better idea than writing a novel, cos when you try to do that and you take a while you get really sick of the characters, plot, etc as you grow older.

My friend wrote part of a script. It was quite funny. Then she got sick of it and threw it away.
