Tom Delay,
It is with great sympathy that I write this letter. News of your resignation has both saddened, and enraged me. I am a 23 year old male from South Texas. I grew up in many towns in the South, one of them being Mirando City, where I believe you have relatives. I did know a Mrs. Delay, and she was a very sweet lady. I have been around politics since I was around 5 years old, campaigning as a cute little boy for a local mayoral candidate. In todays political climate, one which you've managed to forge, it appears to me that my beloved state of TexAs and the United States as a whole is ripping at the seams. The activities taken up in the name of the people, by both parties, has divided the masses. Never in my time have I seen such hostility from both parties toward one another. As a member of the angry youth of America, I feel that it is our responsibility to be vocal in our concerns. Angry youth, all over the world can make drastic changes in the political scene. As it is today, April 10, 2006, you have angry protesters in the streets all over the country, voicing their opposition to the immigration situations. In France angry youth have held rallies and protests to laws that they also do not favor. In the Ukraine not long ago, civil disobedience was the call when the people demanded a righteous election. Many in the demonstrations were from the angry youth.
My new objective is to tap into that raw, educated rage that we have. It is unfortunate that you are the target of such scandal, when many of your colleagues are guilty of the same crimes. As I see it corporate lobbyists, and their black dollar bills, have no business in our government. NONE! How each and every one of your colleagues plan to do the will of the people, and get paid by corporations with their interests in mind is puzzling. And with their own ideologies blinding them to do their own bidding, and not the bidding of the people who elected them; How absurd. As a student, I was told that my representatives represented me. And as I came about the real world, I have since then learned that is not the case. Big oil, pharmacy, and food subsidies, have their concerns tended to, while others pretend that they mean something. I am done pretending. My former state representative took her seat because the makers of Phen Phen hired her so that the local trials could be granted a legislative continuance. You republicans change the rules to get what you want, and the democrats run away to Oklahoma, scared to fight the great beast. OUTRIGHT COWARDS! My governor has deregulated college tuition, forcing me to pay more every semester. My president started a war based on his WMD claims, claims that I believed. Since then I have lost 2 good friends out of San Diego TexAs, and my support for his administration has evaporated into absolute rage. And you have carved this state up to meet your specifications, and yet, the tip of TexAs is as blue as the TexAn sky.
I will lead my angry colleagues to the polls and destroy both democrats and republicans in my beloved state of TexAs. Absolute pragmatism will eventually be the order of the day, as both parties will lose seats in the TexAs Houses to a loose assembly of free thinking individuals, with the peoples plight in mind, not lobbyist black dollar bills in their pockets. My dream was to take your seat from you, and bury your political career under my feet. You stole that from me. I am asking you to fight back and win your seat. If need be, Ill campaign for you. Im not 5 years old, but I still might charm a few votes in. Do not fear those cowardly democrats. Theyre flailing miserably at the branches of your corruption, where as I will strike the root. I hope you reconsider Mr. Delay, and I offer you some recommended music in the hopes that it encourages you to carry on as it encourages me.
Hope of the States -Black Dollar Bills.
