Yay winter olympics :love:

*wonders when the skating starts*
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

The Canadian womens hockey team is slaughtering the Italian team at the moment.

9-0 after two periods of play.

And it's 13-0 now.

Some early predictions were that the score could end up being 15 or 20 for Canada. But there were reports that the Canadians should be careful because it's embarassing and rude to do that to the host country. But this is a game/sport where the differential (goals for and against) is important later on, so what can you do? They have to play their best.

16-0 for Canada. They steam rolled over the Italians. Canada had 66 shots on goal whislt Italy had 5. Man, Italy was locked into a defensive game since that first goal.

Crazy!!

I don't think anyone is surprised. The only reason they had a women's hockey team playing is because they're the host country.

After 2 minutes Italy had 2 goals against them and an injury. It was over before it started.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I'd hate to be the italian team, you'd feel so embarassed. Especially going up against the previous goldmedal team.

It's probably bad that I don't even know what moguls are, isn't it? I thought they were something from Harry Potter?

OMG :lol::lol::lol:

Moguls:

<img src="http://rds.yahoo.com/S=96062883/K=skiing+moguls/v=2/SID=e/l=IVI/SIG=130ujd6i9/EXP=1139838561/*-http%3A//www.channel4.com/sport/microsites/S/skiing/images/tips/pic_moguls.jpg">

It's a freestyle skiing event where there are man-made "bumps" all throughout the run. It's tough on the knees! Scores are determined partly by how long it takes you do get down the hill, and partly by judges (the top part of your body should stay still while your lower body absorbes the impact, knees should stay tight together throughout the run, etc)

It's fun to watch, espcially with the jumps they do.

This is a pic of one of Heil's jumps:

Don't let the picture fool you.... the photographer was holding his camera upside down.

And though the hum and sway gets me down
