You can buy it at Safeway easily, so I'll assume the same for any other large grocery store.

Also, you're a nutrition major? Ohhhh. See, I was confused because I knew you were in some sort of health/medical program and could not figure out for the life of me why you would randomly have a cooking course!

thanks. that first salad recipe is really so very good everyone who tries it loves it. it is sweet and tangy and so simple buy a bag of greens and put dressing on it.
good luck with the meal

hmm, i hadn't thought about that. that's a good idea. mousse was actually what i first wanted, and it'd be a lot less expensive. but, like, the sundae brownie pie sounds so good  ...waargh!

mousse isn't really that expensive but definitely more finikie... I just made a cake today that was ridiculous. it is out of martha stewarts new baking book. It is a lemon curd cake with lemon curd in the layers and a butter cream icing...i think i used 10 eggs in it!!!

The punch is really good, and would be easy to double/triple+++ up

2 20oz can's of pinapple juice
6oz lemon juice
1pgk of frozen strawberries(+juice)
1L gingerale

(you just thaw the strawberries a little and throw them in the punch. that way it stays cold and you get yummie stawberries in your drink.)

mmmm that sounds yummy. rather heavy on the cholesterol, though, with 10 eggs...

with your salad dressing recipes, how many people do they serve? i need to know so i can adjust it, see :)

edit: sarah, i like that recipe a lot. i'll have to go look in the grocery store to see if i can find frozen strawberries first, before i can decide for sure. how many people does that serve?

the first one really does for a family of 4/6 so you can try it at home this week. The second dressing makes about a cup or so ( i think) i would estimate tripleing it for 63
but then again if you made 4 times it wouldn't hurt after all it is relatively cheap to make

ooh, all these great recipes are making me hungry. We should have a favourite recipes thread so I can get meal ideas when I don't know what to make for dinner!

What the hell? I know I started it, but apparently I've only ever made one post with the word 'recipe' in it.

Oh well, start a new one!

Just a thought Sammy, but you're not going to have veggies there are you? Cos they might not be so happy with the chickeny bits.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

This is true. Most people don't think of that aspect of cooking for large groups. If you do, you might get bonus points.

She means vegetarians by "veggies".
