Kingston Robot Adventure 2004

Postby Axtech » 8/29/2004, 6:36 pm

This is what happens with summer boredom.

Four friends get together, dress one up in a home-made robot costume, attach an mp3 player and a speaker (with "Mr Roboto" on repeat) and head downtown to walk around and get strange looks.

http://harlequin.darthwhoever.com/photos/robot2004/

Pics taken, uploaded and commented on by my friend Stu. I'm only in the second one. Bad picture, but funny. :P

At one point, two cop cars drove by, laughed, then stopped to make sure he wasn't just some insane guy out wandering around alone. They seemed to be pleased that it was at least a group of insane people.
A little while later, we saw someone from school driving by in his truck. He saw us, waved, slowed down to watch us and laugh, and ended up crashing into the car in front of him (no damage done, but hilarious none the less).

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

We walked through a few big crowds while wandering around downtown. Some people laughed, a few commented on it, but most just avoided him at all costs.

Yeah, that was definately the funniest part. He started out where he was in the first pic, then shifted closer. Then closer. Then closer. Then, when right beside the guy, he reached out and touched the guy's shoulder, then kind of stroked his shoulder, then stood up, waved, and walked away. It was great!

He just sat there reading his book, and started laughing as soon as Brian began moving closer to him. And when Brian got up and waved, the guy waved back.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
