Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

the streaks on the sidewalk have led me to think
how could I ever atone?
that maybe a creature once lay here and bled
what if I died for you?
trickling life on this spot where I stand
everyone dies alone
did it stare at the sky in quiet animal prayer?
does everyone live alone, too?

A whispered word of kindness
an enemy of fear
a shield made of your blindness
a sword of memories dear.

A twisting path to heaven
a worse one leads to hell
another day of life gone
a shooting star that fell.

A trial of my patience
and one that tests my hope
a train of thoughts left endless
a hangman’s dangerous rope.

One single spark of life left
that threatens to be gone
one tiny ray of light left
enough to keep me strong.

And so I draw you closer
I try to keep you near
a whispered word of kindness
you spoke in to my ear

Dawn broke heedlessly over the plains
Spilling itself onto the waiting earth
As though it had been anticipating this very moment
And with a reckless abandon it flew faster and faster
Streaking the morning haze with glowing blood
Filling the sky with golden light

The sun ran its fingers through the lingering mist
Through the swirling grass
Leaving traces of ancient magic behind it
Arcing and diving through the strands of infinity
That lay over this morning, as they did any other
Weaving a pattern of golden-green love

Haha :D That was an experiment. I needed inspiration so I popped in Pachelbel's Canon and wrote what came to me. I discovered that classical music is as good for inducing poetry as modern, wordy music is bad at it.

!EMiLY!

sweet blasphemy my giving tree
it hasn't rained in years
i bring to you this sacrificial offering of virgin ears
leave it to me i remain free from all the comforts of home
and where that is i'm pleased as piss to say
i'll never really know

I have no idea where this came from. Sometimes you just have to sit there and write it out.

You were always the heart
And before I started to
Believe
You were always the love
And before I wanted to
Leave…

…There was you
Can’t deny yourself a minute in the spotlight
Shining in my eyes so bright you blind me
And I can’t see
Can’t figure out myself or you
And why did you leave me here
With nothing but you

I can remember a time
When I, no I forgot you
The lines I have drawn
On my wall on my face
They lead me the wrong way
They lead me to you
And you’re not there
And you’re not there
And I can’t make myself care
Any more
Than I do

Can’t deny your smile or the way
You stare at me and I know that I’m okay
Cause you said so
And that’s all I ever needed was for you
To say so
To say so
Can’t you do what my head says
Can’t you stop the laws and turn them around
I believe that you could but you won’t
Not for me
Putting lies to your heart
Putting blood on the ground
Under my feet

I agree! lol, we could show him how it's done :D

honestly though, just like the last, this is just a series of quickly and clumsily jotted lines. cause you gotta. :P

Stop me before I go
Any farther down this
Road to nowhere
Take me with you
Pull me along as we go
Down this road where
Nothing matters
I’ll be with you

And I can’t see your face for the
Faces you show me and I
Can’t see the truth
For the kind words you told me

Where are we on this long road
I don’t remember the last sign we passed
Why is your hand clutching mine
Just a memory
How did I lose this
How did this come to be
Gone on my own and
The dark trees are staring
Accusatively
It wasn’t my fault
It wasn’t me
All I wanted was
To be with you
I’ll be with you
