My band - a few new recordings

Postby Dick_Baxter » 1/25/2010, 6:37 am

Hey everyone,

I had posted last week that the I had been building my home studio, it's almost set, i got the studio table in and will be installing on wednesday this week. In the meantime my friend and I recorded a few songs, I have uploaded 2 of them and want some feedback. This is the first time i'm working with Logic and essentially all new equipment. I am playing drums and guitar and bass and my friend is vocals, guitar(rhythm and lead) and harmonica.

These are rough takes and just produced in a few hours, i really enjoy playing and recording and hope to master logic and make some great recordings in the coming months!

Any feedback is much appreciated!

Just spent a good portion of the day recording this song, it's still a bit rough but this is only me playing everything, the song is called rivers by sugar ray:

I just spent a couple hours to get you clumsy monkeyers an OLP song!

Please go easy, this is the first time i have ever played this song and just learned it about 5 hours ago. I play everything in this recording. Am eager for feedback. The only thing I think sucks are my vocals. If anyone on here is a good singer and wants to record them i will be glad to send the instrumental version . . . let me know, keep in mind i only learned this tonight!!!
