Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I love the Forbidden Cities shots.

my favourite from the Forbidden City:

and some others from there...

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/ ... rip279.jpg
(the number of creatures between the thing with horns and the guy riding the animal represented the status of the person residing in that building. the emperor himself had nine, and only the emperor was allowed that many. this one has seven, so the person living in it must have been of reasonably high class.)

i'd be fired as an advertisor. highlighting such must-see attractions as a cracked pole and a bowl of dead silkworms!

though i could send in those nighttime pictures to the shanghai tourism administration...

OK, what the frig are ugly Sao Paolo and Frankfurt doing on there but this is missing!??!:

Image

Same skyline, not artsy:

Image

I mean... C'MON! I may be a bit biased there, but Philly's beauty from afar never fails to capture my eye. The buildings are in such a great order, slowly building from the edges to the tallest ones in center city. And the old old old buildings, like beautiful city hall, just add to the effect. Bah.

At least Toronto was on there.

okay yeah...Sao Paolo ain't no skyline, just a mass of buildings. :uhh:

hong kong was indeed wonderful. mountains and water everywhere, and tons of skyscrapers  and their public transit system is great, too. eons better than toronto's. everyone MUST visit. get your ticket and check out the hustle and bustle and culture of the marketplaces around Mong Kok for the lowest price of...oh wait.

by the way, i took several pictures across a waterfront in shanghai and wanted to piece them together to make a panoramic shot...but i'm unskilled with photoshop and lazy.
