. I can't tell you all how excited this whole group of pictures makes me - looking through pictures I'd taken years ago, it's really crazy how much I've improved and I'm really proud of myself. So it's really great getting such positive feedback from you all. I want to do professional work of some kind some day, so I'm really trying to work toward that and feedback is very helpful!
Nikki, all pictures except for the ones from Britain, which were taken back in 2003 before I had my digicam, were taken with a Canon Powershot S410. I'm in love with this camera - it's really great. I got it in the last week of 2004 and I've taken almost 7000 pictures in that year and a few months. It's fantastic.
One thing to warn you against - Canon also has these Powershot SD cameras which are basically the exact same camera, only thinner and with a bigger screen, and yet they cost like $50-$75 extra. Personally I think that's a ripoff, especially since smaller cameras are easier to lose and harder to handle, so just watch out for that. Also, I would recommend buying a second battery, since if you're out somewhere using your camera so much that the battery runs down, you're screwed unless you have another battery, since you need a power outlet to charge them. They're kinda pricey but definitely worth the money.
