my mom and dad were hanging out on some harbour or something in newfoundland, and it was their first time there. this old fisher man comes out of his boat and says to them what they thought was 'tickeh.' so they assumed they needed a ticket of some kind to be there. they tried to ask him where they could buy this ticket, but he kept saying 'no, tickEH!' they were majorily confused, so they went and got a local to translate. apperently he was saying THICK, eh? refering to the fog on the harbour...
