Chicago!! The show!! AHHH!! It was great!!
Ok, so here is my review.
Well after driving 6 hours back from vacation I finally made it home to then get in my car and drive to Chicago. I ended up meeting a friend of mine that was in the front of the line because I knew I would be late. Well we got front row and soon after had people filling in behind me so I knew we wouldn't be getting any water any time soon.
Greenwheel came on. I'm sorry, but I personally feel that they are just a cheap rip off of most bands out there today. I loved the lead singer's energy (even though I couldn't tell if he was really into the music or just doing it for show) but the rest of the band was the most boring show I have ever seen. It looked as though the band was just hired to play the music behind the singer because they didn't move once on stage and barely looked as though they liked the music. Yawn.
Then came AudioVent and I was so excited to see them again. Last time I saw them at Locobazooka they put on a great show and they did again this time. They all have lots energy and seem like they really enjoy being up there. When I saw them last time my BF bought the CD and I stole it from him and have listened to it a lot and it rocks!! After their set I asked for their set list and lucky me got it!!
Then we all know what came next... OLP!! The show was... amazing!! They performed well and you could tell that Raine was feeling much better then at the Milwaukee show(after the show he said he was, too) JPS12 did a good job with the set list except Mafia and The Birdman are switched around. Raine climbing the balcony was great, at the begining of the show I thought there wouldn't be much for him to climb but I was wrong. He is lucky he didn't get mauled by the crowd when he jumped down!! The show was so great and they all rocked out at usual.
After the show one of the people that work with OLP brought their set list over to me and pushed all the reaching hands out of the way to give it to me!! Thank you so much!!
After the show we went outside to the tour busses. So I went to the AudioVent tour bus because I figured they would be out before OLP. I got my AudioVent set list and my CD signed and pics with all of them. Then I went over the the OLP bus and waited around with my friend. First out was Jeremy. Then came Raine (I was surprised, I thought he would be last) Then Mike. Finally we found Duncan and Steve signing stuff in the alley next to the venue. I had my set list signed by all of them and got pics. I also got to touch Steve's wet shirt, hehe!! The guy who gave me my set list came out to get Steve because the tour bus was ready to leave without him and he was still chatting and signing things. The guy asked if I got the list OK and I said thanks again. He knew who I was from the CC and remembered my user name.
The night was amazing!!
