Who's going to Detroit?
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

I'll be there, I'm definitely excited to see them at St. Andrews. I wanted to go the last time they played there in 2001, but being 14 made that kind of difficult, ha.

Either way, if there's a large CM presence we should do something before the show. There's a ton of great places around that area now.

As I said in the other thread tickets are too expensive for me right now.
If anyone comes upon some free tickets or end up needing to sell at a loss let me know.

My wife and I will be there for our 3rd OLP show. St. Andrew's Hall is a great venue which holds only 1000 fans.

Since the album won't be sold anywhere physically in the US for another 2 weeks (And no where near me).
Would a Detroit CM'er being willing to buy a copy for me at the show and mail it to me here in Columbus. (I can reimburse you via Amazon Payments or Paypal)

Many thanks.
Enjoy the show everyone!

Show was awesome! The crowd was really into it too. The set list is the best I can remember it, not quite in order though:
Allowance
Fire In The Henhouse
Innocent
One Man Army
Superman's Dead
Blister(!!!)
Is Anybody Home
Thief (acoustic)
Naveed (full song)
Clumsy
Rabbits
Some other new song I don't know the name of
Heavyweight
Happy Birthday (to Jeremy)

Encore 1:
As Fast As You Can
Paper Moon
Monkey Brains
4am

Encore 2:
Starseed

I'm guessing the other new song was Find Our Way, as it's been played at every single show.

What you described is pretty much the best setlist they have ever played, in my opinion. Amazing!

He has risen. Hallelujah!

This is a quote from Raine. He said, "This is the best show of the tour"! The rest of the band must have agreed because they played 18 songs at this show. One more song than any other show on the tour so far, I think. The U.S. and Canadian border town OLP fans were in a frenzy and the guys in the band responded in kind.

I met Clumsygirl618 and some other cool people. We hung outside the venue after the show for a LOOOONNGGG time, but it paid off and we met everyone but Raine. I got my new Curve CD autographed. (Yes!)

Megxyz128 had all the right songs. I will post a full review and some pictures later today. Here is the setlist in order. I wrote it down:

1. Allowance
2. Fire in the Henhouse
3. Innocent
4. One Man Army (My favorite! Original chorus & lyrics).
5. Superman's Dead
6. Naveed
7. Blister (As a newbie, I understand this is a rarity).
8. Is Anybody Home?
9. Thief (acoustic)
10. Find Our Way
11. Rabbits
12. Clumsy
13. Heavyweight

Encore 1
1. As Fast As You Can
*Birthday cake with candles for Jeremy*
2. Paper Moon
3. Monkey Brains
4. 4 A.M.
Raine climbed the speaker stack into the small balcony for the last two songs. He sat precariously balanced on the railing while singing to the fans jamming below him. At one point he asked the people below him, "You'll catch me if I fall, right"?

Encore 2
1. Starseed

I have sound check and concert video of Blister!!! I won't be able to post until later this week though because my parents don't have Internet at their house so I only brought my iPad. It was amazing though!!! I have video of us singing happy birthday and Louisa let me take a picture of the cake before they cut it.

Can't wait to see it. I have been asking them for 10 years to do this song again. I even joked with Raine years ago about singing a line or two.. The last time this song was done was in 2000( World's A Blister Tour) and I think a handful of shows in 2001 for SM.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Nope. They aren't allowed to sell it because it hasn't been released in the US yet! They didn't have any copies anyways. Raine and Steve tried to give us one but the band doesnt even have copies of it. Distribution fail.

Unrelated but I just realized I need to shrink my signature. Looks like my pic of me and Jer got cropped when the site update happened.

the best was the birthday cake for Jeremy! It was a nice touch and of course Raine and his venue jungle gyms, climbing speakers and railings like a chimp!
