that was the best olp show of the entire burn burn run.

everyone was in fine from . lots of audibles and little extra bits in songs...the crowd was fucking insane and i gotta be honest, i only counted one clam and that was duncan setting off a delay pedal in clumsy cause he busted out some crazy move and hit it with his bass by accident.

a good time was had by all forsure!!!

fyi - steve played me a bunch of new tunes that afternoon and i really liked what i was hearing, got a good feeling about this new record. actually heading down to film some writing today so will have that up on .net in the next couple days

The crowd was nuts. Fights and moshing and surfing and just general good-timery. Definitely the most energetic show of the run by the crowd and the band that I've been to. Plenty of audio, video, and pics will surface eventually I'm sure. Rumour has it someone in the front row taped the whole damn thing.

I agree it was one of their best shows for Burn Burn. They were in top form.. I had a great time. I will miss the Burn Burn songs. They were so amazing live..Only regret not seeing End Where We Begin or Dreamland alot live, but the few shows I did I will remember always..

It was a typical OLP show.. Though some of the fights were just plain nuts.
.
Half dressed girls squeezing to the front of Raine Check
Drunk college guys-Check
Crowd Surfing- Check
Some stupidiness-Check
Fighting-( well that is what happens when there is no cut off on liquor)-check
Loud passion crowd-check

yep pretty much an OLP show.

Oh and stop telling Lies about audio, video and photos.. :P

Hey Trusty when will we see some of the stuff you shot? I know you got some good things there.

Is Raine going to be in the vid as well this time...singing a chorus or two possibly?

I really hope so! That would be really cool =)

And Raine seems to be (in my mind) hitting those high notes with more strength lately =)! I can't wait for his new solo album and OLP's new album!

The concert was the best run I have seen this summer! High energy, the crowd and the band feeding off of eachother, crowd surfing and mosh pits is something I havent seen at an OLP show in a while, so it borught back memories the last time I was front row and the crowd got insane!

Standing, drinking beer for 4 hours awaiting the band was a little different, I felt bad for the fighters who were kicked out 10 minutes before OLP hit the stage!

I had a blast meeting all my new friends at these shows, and the antics and hours of waiting!

Every step of the way I would do all over again!

Thanks for the good times, and looking forward to the new times!

I must be the only one that was there and was about 30 feet from the stage that did not see any crowd surfing at all. There was tons of fighting and pushing and beer drinking but no crowd surfing
Is there something good, something more?

I was in front of Raine( front row just to his right). They pulled down about 3 people on that side..

Oh man the worse fight was the guy behind me. He was with his friends drinking nad having fun. There were these 2 girls who were pushing everyone to get in front row.. Actually pulling younger kids away. There were two kids next to us. I say about 16/17. They were high school age. Just hanging with everyone enjoying themselves before the band came on. All of a sudden the crowd sort of parts and the guy and girl were sort of going at it. I heard his side. I heard security sides. We were trying to calm the guy down and have him stay for the show. He said he did not care it is only OLP. Shit man. You paid $40 for the show. Bought how many pitchers of beer for you and your friends and people in front. It was sad cause the girls started the whole thing. They hit him behind on his head. He turned and either pushed her, grabbed her neck, etc. I did not actually see what he did as it was happending. Only the after effects. He said he only pushed her back. The girls were tossed out and so was the guy. I found that sad cause despite what he said( Only being OLP) he was looking forward to the show before hand.. I really hate when other people pull crap like that and ruin it for others. I can not tell you how many times I have been hit, kicked, hairpulled, drinks spilled on me etc at a show. Not by accident either but by people just being nasty. I can not react cause I do not want to be tossed out.

I saw the band Velvet Revolver in Philly( Electric Factory) years ago. I do not remember why but this girl punched me in the back. I could not turn around and hit back cause they were under age( 18) and I be arrested for assaulting a minor. Yet they can hit you. When I mentioned it to security they did nothing. They were more concerned with me having a camera. Warning me not to take pictured then about some person hitting me. I have been to more shows then I can remember. Yes it is a show and stuff happend but some people really are out of control> They behave like animals..

Oh wait here is the real winner at the OLP show. This person peed on one of the girls behind me.. YUCK.

Gail and Lindsey!!

Hey guys! I met you guys last Saturday at the show! It was me and my sister (Samantha and Melanie). We took shifts while we were waiting before the show, remember?

It was so much fun meeting you guys and me and Mel had such an awesome time that night. Oh man....front centre, I still have bruises all over my ribs and arms.

Yeah, I remember the guy behind us and the girls...that was crazy stuff. Those girls were vicious! They were like swearing at me, and giving me the finger all night, any time I talked to him! But he did admit to my sister that he like choked the one girl, so I guess he didn't really have a chance of staying.

Lindsey you were so funny all night....every time I looked over you were just smiling and holding up your pitcher!!

Hey, anyone know if Cathy and her husband are on here too?

Anyway, can't wait to see you guys again at the next show - hopefully soon!!

Kathy comes here from time to time, but it's been a while, if she's who you mean. I was punched in the back by some girl at a Weezer show once. I grabbed her fist behind my back like a ninja, squeezed it hard, turned around and told her to calm the hell down. She did.

I'm pretty sure that's who she means. I know Kathy and Sandy were there. I haven't seen her around here in a while though

I remember you both.. Cool you came on here. Everyone sort of disappeared after the show.

Kathy and Sandy were stanging next to her. Kathy is always working so not on here much..She does pop by time from time.

I felt bad for those two young girls behind y ou. Until the girl with the came up and pushed them out of the way. The girl in the purple top that you said was not surprised how she was dressed. It was fun and crazy.. I come up for T.O/MOntreal shows so maybe next time we can meet up.

Yeah, yeah, Kathy and Sandy. I liked them a lot too.

Yeah, the two girls behind us got kinda screwed, which sucks.

I didn't see anyone really after the show. Me and Mel met up with Daniella and Scott (member the couple behind us with the pitcher - the beautiful Mexican woman and her hubby) and exchanged numbers, and then I saw Kathy and Sandy for a few minutes, but everyone else kind of disappeared.

Lindsey - what happened near the end of the show, we saw you standing in front of the barricades and like holding your pitcher up and we were like "what?!" We thought you were getting kicked out or something!

Samantha! That show was absolutely so much fun! I was having the time of my life getting pushed and rushed, I am covered in bruises too, good memorys and the pain is worth that night, I definately took part in the beer festivites, I was rocking out!

The fights were crazy, that guy who choked the girl, dumbasses! 10 minutes before OLP hits the stage, 4 hours of waiting, all gone down the drain!

It was really nice to meet you and yoru sister as well! No worries there WILL be more shows,

I still cant get over the genuine fan friends I have met at the shows, its not just a concert anymore its more!

Glad you guys had fun, I can not wait to do it up again

I always have a good time, even at my own expense

and lesson learned, if beer is served at a show... maybe "depends" would be a good idea
when I jumped the barricade to go, I cant belive I made my way back to the front row within minutes!

Yeah, the show was wicked, and I had so much fun meeting everyone. I can't wait to see everyone again at the next show.

I'm glad it was just a pee break Lindsay - and yeah, Depends might be a good idea. The festival type shows (no seating) are rough for that.

Btw, they (olp.net) just posted a vid from the concert. I (and Mel) and can be clearly seen singing my ass off and looking like a giant loser  . I look so stupid - every time I see the video it makes me want to die .

When you have the dvd put together, Lindsay, lemme know, I'd love to take a look.
