Is anyone else going? Anyone interested in a small Calgary meet-up?

I'll probably go for the Clumsy date with my partner, and I'm considering doing the second night on my own (even the cheap seats are kind of expensive for me, at $35.50).

Anyone been to the Jack Singer Concert Hall before? What are the seats like?

Oh, and I've got the radio station presale password for anyone who wants it - presale is tomorrow from 10am-10pm. PM me and I'll send it your way.

I'm going! :D

I haven't been to Jack Singer, but it looks beautiful. I'm not even going to ask for the pre-sale password out of fear that the seats offered are closer than the ones I got today through Live Nation. At which point I will go nuts. I would totally be up for a meet-up, though.

Jack Singer's a great concert hall. The acoustics in there are second to none.. and it's just a really nice venue as a whole. Back in the day it used to house the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra (it still might.... i'm not sure to be honest).

Man, I remember when OLP played on the SAIT campus in early 96 (unfortunately i was a young'in and they played in the dirty lounge... stupid age limit!). Never would have ever thought they'd be playing at the Jack Singer.

I just moved to Calgary recently, so I'm not overly familiar with the venues. But I have been to the Engineered Air Theatre which is in the EPCOR center as well, and that was beautiful.

I don't think I'm getting tickets - I can't afford the "convenience charge" and the "facility charge" that make a pair of the cheaper tickets $95. That's pretty pricey. But I'm still in for a meet-up before the show!

yeah, exactly. and there's nowhere else to buy tickets . . . even the ticketmaster retail outlets charge the same insane fees. so no olp for me this time round, not with a bunch of professional fees due in january.
