One of these things is not like the others.
One of these things just doesn't belong.
Can you tell which thing is not like the others?
By the time I finish my song?

...that sounds like a pretty interesting lineup though. it would be cool if olp changed their set to cater to the audience - bring out the heavier stuff. or, you know, play innocent over and over just to mess with the crowd.

I saw this yesterday and thought it was all ready announced. Looks like a good lineup.

I was thinking the same thing. I doubt they will, but it'd be nice.

Anything off Naveed, Big Dumb Rocket, The Story of 100 Aisles, Lying Awake, Middle of Yesterday, If You Believe, All For You, Not Enough, Wipe That Smile Off Your Face, etc.

It's a shame it won't happen.

Yea I hate to be somewhat self-centered or snobish in saying 'I want to see OLP and OLP only'

I just miss the days when they toured with like groups.
That 89x summer fest they played had a great lineup of similar bands: Doves, Dashboard Confessional. Numerous shows with Hot Hot Heat including the Canada Day show with Pedestrian, Jets Overhead, Keane, NEWL. Their tours w/ 3 Doors down kinda bit but not horrible.

Maybe I'm just jealous because Canada got a festival w/ Sloan, Tragically Hip and OLP on one ticket and I'm stuck with this.

I'm also thinking: Who the hell comes up with this idea?
Would OLP rather play to a small crowd of core fans ala Asylum just before Gravity?

Or would they rather play to a huge crowd where few have herd of them. That may be nice in this case if they were to play a heavy mix of the hard stuff but if their supporting the new album the crowd full of hard rock enthusiasts isn't going to have high opinions of OLP after their set.

Raine is no Chad Kroeger.

I imagine if they had an early set the crowd would be thin and not drunken yet.

They're playing Xfest tomorrow in Brandon, Manitoba.

With Marianas Trench. :( Sigh.

My friend is going to that show. She was so excited. She lives in Northern Manitoba so it turned into a mini vacation for her.

I'm extremely jealous of her. My friend's friend had backstage passes for that day.

I loved Josh's Twitter updates leading up to that concert. He's not a very good typist, though.

"But we're playing with OLP in a couple days so u can expect a lot of rain maida jokes!" (To which I replied that he should buy Raine numchucks and a satin long sleeve button down shirt with Hawaiian flowers on it. I thought it was witty.)

"OLP is Our Lady Peace. The band with the singer who rocks the "HIIEEEEEE" His name is Raine Maida. But I call him the Rain Maka! BAM!"

Oh, Mr. Ramsay.
