Yay. We're row 1 seats 5-6. So nice and close :D

We're arriving in Kelowna the day before the concert and staying at the Royal Anne hotel for 2 nights - going back to Vancouver the day after the concert.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I have an actual real Oregon quarter now.

By the way, to those of you who are just reading. I'm not a really nice person who goes around giving quarters to everyone on the Internet I know. So stop pming me about it!

It was a pretty good time in Kelowna, albeit I had more fun being in Kelowna than actually being at the concert. Drinking at the restaurant, drinking at the marina.

I had my hands in my pockets trying to hide my camera. Security dude was like "get your hands out. what the hell is that?" At that point thought I was pretty screwed; however, he just asked me if I had video and of course I said no (even though it does).

Pretty good seats in the 3rd row. Pedestrian was awesome, Jets Overhead was OK (that backup singer girl was pretty useless - she needed some cowbell). Neverending White Lights was awesome though they seemed pretentious and arrogant.

Met Soozy, Nik, Yannic briefly during the drunkeness period.

OLP was pretty sweet; Raine was into things. Moved up to 2nd/1st row when they went on. Setlist seemed a little short though with no Naveed, there was some BS with the venue timing or a curfew? Also I disliked the big corporation thing especially if the band is sponsored by adidas - that's pretty much hypocrisy.

Sketchy drive home at midnight. Nearly hit a few deer, saw at least 50 deer, bunnies, owls, and elk. And never get Tim Horton's raspberry flavoured iced cappucino. It just doesn't go down well.

Can you explain the following comments a bit better for those of us who weren't there?

They were signing autographs afterwards and I just didn't like the way they were.

Raine going up into the stands, Raine going into the crowd, Raine asking for a recorder (initially getting a cell phone and throwing it back) and then getting a real one.

They had a big US flag except for the stars, they had the logos for major corporations like Microsoft, Nike, McDonalds etc.

Buddy, that giant US flag with corporate logos is a stab at corporate America, it's not advertising by any means.

The flag is made by a Vancouver based organization that fights "corporate cool" by releasing their own brand of non-profit, union labor made shoes, and other stuff. You can find them at www.adbusters.com.

understood, but if OLP are pushing adbusters, then why are they being sponsored by "corporate america?"

kaegan is right.. that exact flag is the adbusters spoof ad thing from a couple of years ago. it's basically patronizing corporate america, not supporting it in any way.

im kinda surprised raine did that adbusters thing in kelowna but not here.

again, the flag is obviously not supporting corporate america. but OLP are sponsored by adidas.
