I do! Weak in the ways of the aftershow, am I.
My friend and I were late arriving to the venue. I had to stay at work until after the newscasts were over and do some promos and such so instead of leaving at 6:30 we didn't get out of Erie until almost 7. We found the Student Center but couldnt find a place to park. We went past the center, past a tour bus, and found a set of 5 parking meters that looked really inviting and quite open. Looks good to me!
We assumed it was OLP's bus and after the show thought we'd stalk...er, hang around to say hello. The show ended around 11. 11:30 rolled around and it was kinda cold out so we sat in the car. I reasoned that maybe it's not a good idea to sit in a dark car and when the band comes out to spring from the car like ninja assassins. Might look bad. So we got back out and froze our buns off til midnite. We could see the driver warming up the bus and figured it was only a matter of time until they came out...plus we're stubborn guys with HUGE egos who don't want to look like fools standing in the cold for an hour only to leave and miss the band.
A few minutes later another tour bus blows by us and we think nothing of it. Maybe our brains froze? 12:20 rolls around and a bunch of trucks pull around. Slowly it dawns on us it's the tear down crew and more than likely THEIR bus...and the bus that passed us by already for probably the bands bus. Please forgive us, we're not the brightest guys in the world.
Is there a CM handbook that teaches stealth, timing, and agility? I'd buy one!
