To just touch on the show for you guys cause I was so tired when I wrote that from Hanna'a dorm> yeah her camera is sweet.
Okay Raine told the audience he was having a few shitty days, and his voice was shot, but he may play for hous( I found out later he was not feelig too well -his throat was othering him and he was really tired). Hey we may even do a poison song.. LOL. he then said how much he hated the greenlights blinking on and off that ran around the club's walls. I also must point out that Raine had this big bottle of wine on stage that he would take swigs form all night. lI thought for sure by the end of th enight it would be empty.. LOL
so they were playing along. Raine started talking about how he was watchign aneil young dvd before coming on stage that night. He said he hates to think what willhappen when people liike Neil YOung, Joni Mitchell and Dylan are no longer aorund.He sang Clumsy with a few lines of Neil Youngs Sugarmountain thrown in there.
During Where Are You, he stopped sining the part where it goes SONS and Daughers etc. First it was just Steve singing it then Duncan and Steve. it was funny to se Steve's face. he kept looking at Raine to jin in,but he never sdid. Steve and Duncan sang that part 2-3 times beofre raine spoke. he said you know this part I want you guys to help sing it. With all the hurricanes going on now. Wil you do that for me. he walked out to the frotn. Iknow Hanna loved that . He was standing onon the edge next to me.. Hanna, and SAmatha( this other girl) were holding him up.. It was cool. he put the mic intot he audience for people to sing before juming back on stage..
They did do Potato girl in soundchekc but it almost didn;t make it into the set. They added it last minute. I ever asked raine before hand if it would be in the set cause we heard them doing it in Soundcheck. he said he didn;t think so cause it wasn't quite right. So it was nic eto see it make it in the set. It sounded good.. oh yeah during Naveed these girls ahd asign that said I love OLP sing this. taine went over to that end of the stage took the sign and singed it for them. That was coool.
Over all the show was good.. The band sounded amazing considering they were all tired from the last week-two of touring without any time off. I told Raine to get some sleep..
On a side note. Hanna told you we met the COUTTS crew
. His wife was there. I finally got to offically meet her. I saw here in 2002 but not really talk o her. They had the girls witht hem. Gd it is hard to tell them apart..
BTW they are the most adorable girls. They do look like him a bit, but also like her. The other woman there was his cousin's wife. He had his cousin's car and when he came out he said he couldn;t find the keys and his cousin would kill him .. LOl >It was funny. he did find the keys.. It was funny though..
what was even odder was these girls I met. Unless yoouare on here or I met you n person I do not know who you are. You have to admit there ar esome of us who people know of-doesn;t mean we know you.. we were wating out side for the band cause Hanna dn this girl Tami( who saw them numerous times but neer met them) wanted tomeet them so I said I would take their photos with the band and such. I know I am jumng around her a bit. SORRY> anyway it was just me, hanna, tami and this girl with her dada waiting. Also some hockey players. The other girl who was there said that the manager told herr Raine wasa in gogd odd and wouldn;t come out,..I told her he is tired. She said you know how he can be. Honestly I have never had aproblem with Riane. I know if he is is a bad mood to give him his space and let him be. I do not think he is an ass or antying like that. Hey we all get in our mood. we ar eonly human. But this girl seems upset and almst angry that he didnt; talk toher the night before and looked like he would blow people off now. We were waiting by tthe door and I saw Rainie so I said hello tohim and asked how he was feling. He smiled and said hi so tami and Hanna and I went in to talk tohimm foor a bit.. When he came out he must of spend abot a hlf hour talking tous. You saw Hanna's piazza photo. Does that look like someone who was pissed off..
all in all it was s fun show.. I even enjoyed danko'sperformace and Joel was amazing. I am definitely going to see them when they come around. I think it may be awhile since he is with OLP now..
oh best for me was when Jeremy started making fun of me cause I was writing down the sons they were singing. . He eeen said something to Raine. about it then they both gave me smile. See how can I say these guys are nasty when thy eod stuff like that..
