montreal 'n boston will go 7 games i wont say montreal will win because they need to come out firing and convince me they will
as for the other series
philly will knock off the devils
detroit wont sweep.. i could even see the preds knocking them off.. it wouldnt surprise me one bit.
i do think the sens will win their series in 6 or 7
the isles wont knock off the bolts but will push them to 7 as will the flames (its all about iggy baby)
i do think the blues are a "darkhorse" to win the cup but having said that, they could very well get smoked by the sharks because the sharks are just that damn good (cept for kyle mclaren who sucks more ass than um.. something or someone that sucks ass.. may the bastard rot in hell.. actually better yet.. i hope he becomes the yellow smiley that :yannic: is eating.)
stars and avs will be a huge series and the winner of that series a legitimate shot to win the cup after it (unless they all get hurt).. if kariya does come back sooner rather than later, then the av's have a better top 6 and a better top 4 .. hell i'd say better top 6 then the stars do on D.. skrastins and vaananen are highly underrated as stay at home types and bob boughner is a good D-man who's been "reduced" to a #6 guy (he played less than rookie, j-m liles who is a really good offensive kid) .. barring injury the stars will get knocked off and the av's will give whoever they face in later rounds a real run for their money.. but its highly dependent on the injury situation..

my finals prediction:
sens and _________ (winner of the sars/avs series)
go fuck yourself.

wings in 4
sharks in 6
nucks in 6
stars in 7

lightning in 5
bruins in 6
devels in 6
leafs in 6

and the officials better stop calling every little hook and hold, its playoffs. they didnt call it all year. this isnt time to start. and im saying this after my canucks had 4 powerplay goals and one on a delayed penalty in game one.that was the worst officiated game iv ever seen both ways.

There are some awesome matchups this year. Ottawa/T.O, NJ/PHI, Colorado/Dallas and Calgary/Vancouver are going to be great series.

TB over NYI in 5: TB is just too strong. NYI doesn't have the depth to compete

Bos over MTL in 7: This will be the Theodore show. Sadly it won't be enough.

PHI over NJ in 7: See above series and insert Brodeur for Theodore. PHI has a ridiculous crew of forwards.

OTT over TO in 7: Patrick Lalime finally comes of age. Ottawa is the better team, but the difference has always been goaltending. Lalime finally steps up.

DET over Nashville in 5: Wings are too strong.

SJ over STL in 5: STL D has been decimated by injuries (MacInnis and Jackman). Not enough forward depth for STL

COL over DAL in 7: Peter Forsberg wins this series for Colorado. He's the best player in the game.

Lastly i'm not going to predict Calgary/Vancouver (Go Flames!). My gut says Vancouver will win, but I promise that Calgary won't go down without a fight.

I love this time of year.

there was a league mandate to start calling that stuff more since like the beginning of the year
hence the rise in goal scoring and edmonton, montreal and tampa (3 smallish yet really fast teams) going on tears
being strict with the hooking and such helps guys like mike ribeiro, fernando pisani and marty st. louis (although ribs and st. louis had really good years before the crackdown) but it makes the game itself flow better and makes the game itself more exciting so they HAVE to call that shit

and im not saying that because it just helps the habs either because like i said before, ribs, ryder, zednik, god err i mean koivu etc were doing well before the crackdown. the crackdown just helps .. besides saku doesnt NEED help
