Why is the US stupid when it comes to this?

I know it's the same old argument, but if you can die for your country, how can you not drink?

Yeah, I feel sorry for you guys. It was probably some politician who wanted to gain parents' support by keeping alcohol out of colleges and universities. Which is working so well  Another thing, I assume the voting age in the US is 18, so you can vote, die for your country, and have basically all the responsibilities of adulthood, but not drink. That deserves another:

Yup, I can vote for whoever I want to lead us, but I can't have a damn beer if I want one. Do I want one? Not really, but do I want to have that choice? Fuck yeah.

yeah really, it's not like people who are underage aren't going to get it if they want it.

i also don't understand how the definition of adult in age is 18, we ote as adults, die as adults and are tried as adults, yet your still to young and irrisposible to handle drinking? Voting is a HUGE responsibility, it shapes teh very world we live in, you better damn well be responsible to drink if your voting, not to mention you can kill and be killed in a war as a man/woman, but drinking is just to dangerous for someone as young as 18?!?!?! :freak: :wtf:

You know how older people always call people kids? Even people up until their thirties? I just think that older people think that they are better and more experienced, and think that drinking is a bigger responsibility than voting. It's just messed up. But why should I care? I don't drink anyhow

You're right. If someone wants to drink underage they're going to. I did. Not much really. I don't have enough fingers to count the number of people I know who've gotten minor charges. It's just that you are considered adult at 18 and are given all the responsibilites except being allowed to drink.
