Why is everyone on the CM fighting?

Post by Lando »

I don't get it...

People complain about the mods, or other members etc...

There's no reason. So you're not happy with the CM, then say what you think would make you happy, but no dumb shit like, "IF GUMBY LEFT THE CM, IT WOULD BE GOOD AGAIN." Everyone's here to stay so if you have a problem with another member too bad. It's bullshit if you say it's a few people on here that are making the CM lame.

I personally don't have a problem with anyone. I just have a problem with everyone's constant fighting and arguing with each other over dumb opinions. That's what we really need to get rid of.

As for the mods. They don't even do much so why the hell waste time on giving them a hard time? They're basically regular members like the rest of us. The only thing about the mods is their whole censorship power that bugs me. Locking topics when an argument breaks out etc... People are going to argue, let it be settled instead of left hanging while everyone is angry and decide to just create new topics to continue arguing... (LIKE THIS ONE!!!!)

Well, no I'm not arguing, but I'm just saying, I'd rather see 500 pages of argument in one thread then to see 50 locked topics with the same shit spread around. It just shows up too much when you go to read new posts and every topic is negative.

If only I had some double chocolate cookies. That bugs me... 'Cause I don't have any. Well that bugs me... and the other thing... the thing not about the cookies. The thing about everyone arguing. Worst Episode ever.

As for the thread locking thing... Threads only get locked when things get out of hand.

Yes, however they stay out of hand and carry on to new topics. If they were left to slowly die off and (by some mystical chance) be resolved, it would lessen the amount of argument threads to have to deal with, making this place a hell of a lot more tolerable.

Usually things only get locked if an isolated argument gets out of hand, and it normally doesn't carry on.

However, everyone's making a huge deal about how bad the CM is (for reasons beyond my perception).

The argument will only continue on the same subject for so long before people bring other things into it and let the initial arguments just kind of fade away. I just think that even if it takes weeks of people bitching about one thing, let them do it without stopping them in mid-stride, it's better than them holding a grudge or having a chip on their shoulder so they start more angry threads about more useless crap.

The only thread recently locked was one in which the argument had resorted to personal attacks.

Then BloodRayn made a thread about how bad the CM is.

It's still going.

And then you made a new thread with your views.

Who's the one spreading it around? :P

I mentioned in my first post that I was doing just that. Spreading it around I mean.

I see them all over, just commenting about it. Even in the Mods special forum there's discussion about this stuff. All over, just people's replies to certain users, it doesn't have to even be direct, but it's based on these grudges or whatever it would be called... like you said... beyond your perception... and beyond explanation too methinks.

There's stuff in the mod forum because we have to discuss it and decide what to do about it. If people complain, we try to fix things.

You see? And that's exactly what pisses me off about this forum. No cookies and no fucking large bandaids. I hate this place for that.

Fuck, that's sick. The chocolate is blue. Ehhh.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

But Rob, this just isn't good enough. To remain on the cm i'm going to have to demand daily cookies (band-aids optional, but appreciated), so you better get cracking.
