zee US / zed : last letter of the alphabet. Canadians call it "zed".

So if Canadians call it 'zed' why does Raine sing 'under zee-nith'? It seriously took me months before I realised what he was singing although I'd been wondering why the song was called 'under zenith' when as far as I could tell Raine never sung those words.

Because Zed is just what we call the letter, not what it actually sounds like.
Also, to burglarize is to steal.
Don't ask questions, just accept it.

Yes, letters are pronounced differently. Look, "h" is pronounced "aitch" but we don't prononouce "hero" "aitchero" or something. Maybe I am missing the point here, but people are stupid.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I don't think I'm being stupid:
There are 2 ways of pronouncing the letter 'z' - you can say 'zed' (in the UK and Canada) or 'zee' (in the US).
And there are 2 ways of pronouncing the word 'zenith' - you can say 'zenith' (sorry, I can't think of any other way to spell how I pronounce it) of you can say 'zeenith'.
And I would have thought that if you said 'zed' you'd also say 'zenith' and if you said 'zee' then you'd say 'zeenith'.
But obviously that's not the case! Trust Canadians to do things differently :)

No no no, I am not calling you stupid, just the people that went so in depth about this kind of stuff to make a website about it. People can have a feedback on this and that's quite alright, but I was just throwing my two cents in here. I was just pointing out the fact that the pronunciation of a letter doesn't have to be the way it's used in a word.
