Final Destination 2

Postby Neil » 2/24/2003, 6:55 pm

Anybody see this yet??? OMG....my fiance and I drove up to Rochester to see it for Valentines, we have NEVER had a ride home feel so damn long. We came home and watched Happy Gilmore to get the freaky feeling outta ourselves.

You HAVE to see it!!! But see part 1 first otherwise it'll seem kinda outta whack to ya.

Ooh, I saw it, that movie friggin' rocks!

I don'tt hink I have ever paid more attention on a drive home than the night after seeing that.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

The previews for it looked good but I haven't seen the first one and therefore don't have a clue what the movie is about .. therefore making my post in this thread pointless

Both movies were very cheesy, but I saw FD2 and it was basically how do we kill the next person and make it 10X nastier than before more than it was an actual movie with a plot. But seriously, the car accident in the beginning freaked me out a lot.

The first one was great. This one was just plain corny. I was very dissapointed. The way the people die in the second one is just out of control and unrealistic. In the first one a sequence of events would occur that just were too perfect and really kept you in suspense. Not to mention the second movie's ending is possibly the worse and makes no sense.

Final Destination 1 - 4/5
Final Destination 2 - 2/5

I will admit however that the car accident in 2 was pretty well done.

I went to see Darkness Falls (ok) instead of Final Destination 2, because it was at a more convenient time and FD2 is rated R. Doesn't in FD2 a guy stick his hand down the sink into the garbage disposal?? I can't handle stuff like that.

No, you think that's going to happen but in the end he frees his hand and then a ladder falls on his eye.

Darkness Falls. Aside from "They" one of the worst movies of all time.
