Last Movie You Watched?

Postby Hope » 8/14/2006, 1:09 am

Like the "last cd you bought" and "last thing you ate" threads... name the last movie you saw, be in on dvd or in theatres. Include a short synopsis/review/rating/link/whatver if you'd like. Maybe suggest recommendations... because i love movies but i'm running out of things to watch.

Anyway. yesterday i watched Junebug for the first time. it was kind of slow moving. still it was good for the most part except one actress Amy Adams, who was amazing.

Tonight I watched Dirty Work, which I've seen at least 15 times, so that doesn't really count.

I went to the movie PULSE the other night. DO NOT SEE IT. IT'S INCREDIBLY BAD.

i agree with the above forementioned. also don't trust lando to pick out movies, kids. he'll suggest The Pulse, and you will die of cheesiness.

I watched The Wiz on saturday.
It's the 70's black version of The Wizard of Oz. Diana Ross is dorothy, and a pre-surgery Michael Jackson is the scarecrow.
I think it's a really creative remake with a lot of cool ideas. It's a really cool movie, but near the end, it drags a bit. (I know it's a musical, but do you have to break into song that much?)

If watching all 10 eps of Band of Brothers doesn't count, then I believe the last movie I watched was Full Metal Jacket. Either Full Metal Jacket or The Great Escape, I forget which one was first...

the last movie i saw was little miss sunshine.

you all must see it. it's the cutest/sweetest/hilarious/depressing movie i've seen in ages.
"if the nuremberg trials were applied to us foreign policy, every us president since 1945 would have been hanged." noam chomsky.

...and this is me hanging on / i'd burn our initials in the sun if it would shine / anxiety chokes me like razor wire / if hate's in your heart man, you'll take what you're given / wake up / i'm not the only one / it's never goodbye / go ahead and play dead / if everyone's a casualty, then take your time, there ain't no trouble / these wounds they will not heal / ambition can be a tricky thing / what the hell do i know about rape anyway? / this is not what i hoped for / ain't it so weird how it makes you a weapon / who will be there to tell me how stupid i am? / those living for death will die by their own hand / and it's me that I am spying on / pick up the pieces and live with the stars / hurry up and wait / things have never been so swell / they're always the ones who slowly drift / be great / ...and this is my world.

she's the man.... it was interesting
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

Hmmmm, yes, you may. *hands fangirl status back* Enjoy!

Also, I watched the new guy last night, but I dunno if it counts cause my one friend was pretty hammered and all like talking through it, well we all were. It was good though, I like, really funny.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Wow, well... "whore-er" sounds like a porn. So if you're into that, okay. If not, I do have good Horror movies on DVD that I've seen and know are awesome, so that would work out too!
