Leafs today acquired RW Jeff O'Neill from the Hurricanes for a 4th round pick in 2006,, excellent winger can provide solid scoring

too bad the Leafs are the most over-rated team in the history of the NHL.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

leafs are dumb. they need to buy out everyone except sundin, domi, mogilny and their prospects
then sign forsburg and naslund
then build up the defence

i'm hoping for the best, but as long as they're overpaying all their old guys i dont see them doing much this year

Heeeeeeey. I love the leafs. I might die off a heartattack if they ever actually won the cup, but I still support them still.

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

not as bad as the papers man
holy hell
same with the radio stations haha
"gretz might be available for a trade"
the first thing you hear is possible packages including the likes of aki berg, a 1st round pick and some prospects.
when anyone asks if they should through in someone worthwhile everyone gets pissy.

It's great to get O'Neill. Hometown boy, he's been lacking motivation in Carolina. To get him for a 4th rounder too, basically we gave up nothing. Also, his salary is fairly low (relatively speaking). I think it's around 2 mil a year.

Yeah, the Leafs are over-rated. Despite being serious cup-contenders for the past 8 years...

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

How can you be cup contenders when not even in the playoffs for two of those years? But hey... you know... maybe playing it low key (by not making the playoffs) makes you a contender!

the wings'll have issues too
in fact
the only of the original 6 teams i think (going forward) that isnt going to have issues is boston.. although if they low-ball thornton TOO much they're screwed.
the habs however should be (somewhat) okay (depending on how things go with theo)
chicago doesnt count cuz wurtz sucks haha
and the rangers.. i tend to ignore them haha
go fuck yourself.

Sorry, minus the lock-out. 7 years, it all turned around during the '97-98 season :P
