His first mistake was to put his entire savings into the program. With these types of programs, I would always recommend not to invest more than you can afford to lose. You're right though, you are lucky that you didn't put any money in - it would have been especially bad if the whole thing happened before you even got your first payment!

I can't really say I got screwed. I started out putting about $500 in and got a total of about $600 back (actually in my bank account). Granted, I still have about $800 that's "owed" to me, but even if I never get that, I'm still ahead 100 bucks. If they ever end up getting their funds back and I get my money I'm going to put most of it back in with a new payment processer. I figure at this point I'm gambling with their money anyway!

If Stompay had decided to blackmail 12 Daily Pro about 2 days after they actually did, I would've been screwed because I was thinking about putting in a decent chunk of money. Not enough to break me but more than I would have enjoyed losing. :lol:

I figured they would collapse eventually, but I really didn't expect it to be because their payment processor basically said "you have to switch to using only us or else we won't let you use us at all," and then as soon as they complied with this command, "haha we're freezing your account." That's like Paypal telling eBay to shove it and stealing all their money. If Paypal weren't an eBay company...
