um...what?

you'll need a passport to cross the border as of june 1st. you have to apply for the passport initially, but once you have it, you're free to pop over the border whenever you want.

If you want pizza and beer find yourself a local Bostons Pizza joint. If your in a pinch and can't find anything call up 967-1111 for the nearest Pizza Pizza. Not great but it does the trick.

A hotel near the subway is a definite plus.
The Metro and Delta Chelsea are both good picks. (Depending on your budget their around $100 to as much as $150 per night)

If you want to do the touristy things a city pass will save you some cash. CN Tower is pretty sweet as is Casa Loma. The Royal Ontario Museum had a lot of stuff but IMO just another museum.

Didn't get the chance to check out the Science Center or the Zoo.

If your driving do not drive on Yonge st. you will not be able to turn off. York and Bay are your better bets just to the West since theres nothing to see to the East of Younge.

If you can't find any OLPness there's always someone playing at the Horseshoe tavern or Rivoli (Both on Queen st.)

102.1 The Edge will have all your major concert information.

Thanks for all the tips ;)

Funny though. Cause I heard some good stuff about certain Canadian bears... I'll definately give them a try, even if that's a bad idea, hehehe.

Yep, I have to get a visa to go to Canada. Around CAD$100 or something like that. I'm going to get mine soon!

Well, don't know about that... all I know is that I'm brazillian and that I need to apply for a visa over at the Canadian consulate, which is located in Sao Paulo. I live in Rio de Janeiro, though.

And hell yeah... my trip is almost confirmed. All I need now is for my boss to grant me my vacation during that period.

This is how it's going to be:
Rio de Janeiro > New York - July 30th
New York > Toronto - August 10th
Toronto > Rio de Janeiro - August 17th

Can't fucking wait!

I've checking OLP's and MG's website everyday hoping I might get a date in Toronto while I'm there. I'm already going to see Dream Theater at Molson Amphiteater on August 14th. Fuck yeah!

I was referring to the rules regarding crossing the border from the states into Canada, and vice versa. There'll obviously be different rules if you're from a country other than the states.

keith's is a beer, however, and what a mighty fine beer it is.

hunt yourself down some alexander keith's india pale ale on tap whilst in canada. if you have no other choice, a bottle of it'll do...but seriously, a pint of keith's is the way to go for beer in canada.

All in all, I like sightseeing, shopping, going to band concerts, going to rock nightclubs and drinking in pubs with friends, going to the movies and etc.

Pretty normal stuff.

Well, there's lots of that stuff in Toronto! I'll let the locals fill you in on specifics, though. :)

Ok then!

I know I´m probably annoying everyone with this who "i´m going to canada" crap, but really, I just can´t put into words how excited I am.

If you like pubs, I'd recommend the area around St. George Subway Station:
there's the Duke of York pub on St. Arthur http://york.thedukepubs.ca/
or if you like something a bit more upscale, with yummy (but expensive) food there's the bar mercurio http://www.barmercurio.com/contactMercurio.html

i forgot to mention - this is walking distance from the royal ontario museum, so if you want to check out the museum in the afternoon, you could head over to one of the bars i mentioned after for drinks
