I've been able to sit on this album for a couple days now. And all I have to say is that I love this album. It is so so so inspired.
Like others have said, Duncan and Jason are the stars here. It's FUN. I feel like Steve really shines on some songs no doubt. 19 Days, The Message, Future Disease ...

Going to be trying to get this NFT. If I can, website is a bit on the slow side. Also doesn't seem to be a way to add debit info before purchase. I'm still hopeful that I got this

Re: General OLP News
I thought that both interviews were really wonderful. Liked Jeremy's a bit more. It was nice to hear some new insight about the old era specifically. I became a fan in about 2010. So insight about the first peak of popularity is pretty gold to my ears.

Re: General OLP News
I don't really feel like Life fits the vibe of the first SM. And I know a couple more were written before the concept came in. So it's not unprecedented what they are doing. Lyrically, it just doesn't fit the concept. And the vocal sounded goofy in the preview.

Re: General OLP News
I don't think it's bad or anything. But let's face it, this is a bit older audience just wanting to listen and buy a record the ways we've been used to. I think if it was "Hey new album is coming xx/xx/2021, and can hear the new song first as an NFT! It really helps us" Something like that. It just ...

Re: General OLP News
I remember buying the show and liking 2 of the 3 previews. Good Die Young has got me so hyped. Raine imo has been a bit hit and miss in performances and on Somethingness. But this song is hype, and I really need this record like right now

Re: I'm just gonna say it HIPT was one of their stronger alb
I always thought it was on purpose based only on live shows just before and after Burn Burn came out. Major HIPT vibes from Raine. I could totally be mistaken though, it's been years since I scowered for those particular shows.

Re: I'm just gonna say it HIPT was one of their stronger alb
I have to agree on World on a String, definite guilty pleasure. I went back and listened to Picture live and i was surprised by how much of a fan I was because I never really liked the chorus. Very enjoyable live.

Re: I'm just gonna say it HIPT was one of their stronger alb
The more I've analyzed over the past couple days, I've come to the conclusion that it's the vocals. I really want to love Wipe That Smile but Raine at the end just ruins all that it was building to for me. I always had a soft spot for Love and Trust but even it irks me nowadays. Raine's voice before ...

Re: I'm just gonna say it HIPT was one of their stronger alb
Curve is a really fun album. Musically very interesting. Burn Burn is pretty bland but has Paper Moon and some lyrics that have really resonated with me over the years.
HIPT has Angels which I think is a top ever OLP track. It's got stuff to like but more to dislike imo.

Re: I'm just gonna say it HIPT was one of their stronger alb
It has high peaks and low valleys imo. Not really a fan of Raine's voice on this album. It often sounds something like he's swallowing his toungue. Absolutely no edge in his voice. I'm not saying it's bad but it stands out to me as particularly bland in their discography.

I finally got around to watching the Juju show and it was pretty wonderful. The guys sounded good and I think in particular, Middle of Yesterday was amazing.

Re: Happiness Vinyl
I'm interested in if One Man Army is the original or the A Decade version. I have the 7" so I'm okay with either, but to me unless an album is remastered it should be what it was originally.

It's so so petty. I also feel like in my experience, besides baseball hats, basketball jerseys are the most common sports clothing people will wear regardless if it's their favorite team.

Re: General OLP News
That sounds awesome! I was hoping for a Happiness... vinyl this year. I'm a little saddened by that. Also, the new song did nothing for me. This might be my least favorite iteration of Raine's voice. It sounds goofy in a lot of live material. I liked the Moon Vs Sun stuff but I do sometimes have ...
