not the biggest fan of this album… there’s not a single song that stands out for me as great… Good Die Young comes closest to me. they are all kind of middling songs… and the less said about the drums the better.

Yeah, the loss of Jeremy makes these phone in drum parts really stand out even more ...

I think calling this album SM2 was a mistake. I'm glad people are enjoying it, and it isn't the worst OLP song I've heard, but it's not for me. I think the band intended to continue the theme of SM through lyrics and themes, but if this is any indication, it's not their plan to return to that sound ...

I have so many questions about this. So Side A would that be as if it were the record and only play the first 5-6 songs? Or is Side A considered the whole album of the original?

Also SM II is very strange when you think that SM came about due to Mike Turner reading the book and talking about it ...

This is a really... weird move. SM is a fan favorite and calling this album SMII really sets the bar high. I'm cautiously optimistic, but SM is the high-water mark of OLP output, and they haven't reached that in 20 years.

Cool to see the return or Summersault, but this doesn't really feel the same. Summersault was much bigger than four bands.

I don't want to compare apples to oranges, but in the same amount of time Matt Good has released 3 albums and an EP with a fourth album possibly coming out before OLP9 does.

Got screwed guys, ended up with a black copy (even though my friend had asked for the transparent one. Can't find it online in stock anywhere. Pretty pissed these didn't just go on the bands store like every other modern musician seems capable of.
