I dunno man, I wouldn't call this type of music "mainstream" anymore. Maybe in 2002, even 2009. But now this type of music is far from mainstream 2020s music.

Similarities to cyr by the smashing pumpkins. I’m not normally one to knock Raine’s voice, but i do not think it goes well with the music here. The bits we’ve heard from SMII have been very underwhelming to me.

OLP posted a video on Youtube of their acoustic performance of Middle of Yesterday from their JUJU show. Someone posted a comment about there being special guests on their new album.

Great raw-ness to that performance. Never bought the whole Mike Turner couldn’t play lead or didn’t want to play lead on live shows. It’s also weird seeing Raine with an electric guitar.

I find HIPT to be too formulaic for me. Raines vocals don't bother me as much as the music. It sounds like they were trying too hard. I love the change they made to One Man Army where they quiet things down at the beginning of the last chorus. It seems like they've made a few changes to some songs recently.

I love OLP live still, but ever since Mike Turner was fired and Bob Rock was hired, I've really hated their albums. Arnold Lanni needs to come back. But I think Raine got too big for his britches long ago and would never go back to how things were.

That’s a pretty ridiculous price considering that they don’t have anyone else headlining that show. It’s literally just OLP right now.

Looks like Live and Bush are repaying the favor and the three bands are playing five or so shows in Canada, with OLP headlining this time

Looks like OLP will be opening for Bush and Live for two dates:

- June 14 in Canandaigua, NY at CMAC
- August 30 in Bethel, NY at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts

I'd love to have them put out a live version of IABH/Maps. I know they did Summertime Sadness a few years back, but I'd love to hear a recording of their cover of Maps.
