Take Gravity, risky music trying to appeal more to main stream. It ended up being a let down because of how fast it was produced and how flat it sounds at times.

Um, this is just my opinion, but if you think Gravity was risky you need to expand your lexicon of artists that you listen to.

Notice I wasn't saying myself directly I was saying "people like me" as in other fans, like you, that support them. And yes, if no one baught thier albums, went to see them in concert, or bought their merchandise they wouldn't be a band, they would've moved on to other things long ago.

Right on, an IME thread. I got into these guys when I first picked up that cd of un-released and acoustic songs EMI put out; (I didn't know the mothers didn't endorse it at the time) needless to say I was hooked from then on.

It was rather funny. It supposelly stemed from OLP not inviting Matt Good on the Sumemrsault tour in 1998.

Actually I heard it was because Jeremy and Matt knew eachother from a while back when they were in high school. They were both at a party and Jermemy was drunk and decided it would be fun ...

it deoends on whether your talking about making it as an artist or an entertaine. If your talking about it as an entertainer then I suppose you would know you've made it when you do make a shit load of money and end up selling out concerts all the time.

You mean he wasn't allowed. At least that was my understanding, Edwin ended up leaving the band because he wasn't allowed to give very much musical input into the songs. I could be wrong though........
